DK books
Hey there, MrArtificialHuman! Just letting you know that I've reverted your edits regarding Wrecker's height. The reason is basically per what Lewisr said in the edit history. It's not a really good approach to just consider everything from DK as false due their previous errors, because SW.com itself is also not free from various errors over the years. Following the most recently released stuff is generally preferable, unless it's proven to be an error or other specific reasons. Happy editing and cheers! Bonzane10

Here is the issue though regarding the recency argument. The Star Wars databank is updated continually, on the Wrecker site you can click on a backup link to the Star Wars databank entry of Wrecker where there is no height for him yet, if you go to his entry now there will be. How can you tell which one is more recent? Also, I do not consider everything from DK false, I'm just aware of their frequent errors. For me it is more plausible in this case to follow the information provided by the official site. MrArtificialHuman (talk) 00:14, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- It seems that I was mistaken of Join the Battle being the more recent height listing. I changed it to the databank's height until any potential future change. My apologies! Lewisr (talk) 00:43, 2 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi, per above, please keep the three-revert-rule in mind before continuing the Wrecker edit-war; you may be blocked if you continue. Multiple editors have reverted, and a note was added to the "Behind the scenes" section. But, on the whole, we treat DK as a valid source since they have the licensing and Story Group review, and this is done sitewide. Cheers, —spookywillowwtalk 16:32, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Per above noting that it was brought back up on Discord and changed by Lew as he said above to the Databank, particularly because it is more recent; but, did want to leave a note that repeat reversions without explanations are generally still classified as edit-wars; would be recommended to state the logic that was said to Bonzane from the get-go to avoid such. It's worth keeping in mind that, unless like in the rare case we have the WebArchives showing when information was added to the Databank, it doesn't invalidate other sources; and has quite a errors itself, so is thus treated as a live source by the sources project. The only reason I'm particularly bringing this up is because the "third party" is contrary to canon policy and the "validity" comment is unsubstantiated by policy and remains merely personal opinion; I'd recommend bringing up similar changes in our Discord first if it concerns contradicting information to gather a consensus like was done for this after it became an edit-war rather than reverting others unilaterally, sometimes with no summary.—spookywillowwtalk 00:53, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
