Hello, Mfnotes, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Sourcing
Hi and welcome to Wookieepedia. I've reinstated your additions to R2-D2. In general, we are very strict about sourcing information, as attribution is one of the pillars of a reliable encyclopedia. All paragraphs must have a reference and I've tagged all your paragraphs with {{Fact}} until a reference is added. I've also helped you get started with referencing. However, I also have to ask: how reliable is 3DSF.info? We generally prefer primary sources rather than secondary ones (unless they are officially licensed, of course). Please let me know if you need any help, either here or on my talk page. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 17:43, April 5, 2020 (UTC)
- Good job on starting to reference! I've switched your reference to the book to a link that leads to the Wookieepedia article on the book instead—those are preferred if available. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 17:52, April 5, 2020 (UTC)
- Okay - it's taken a number of edit conflicts, but I've added my external refs. Hope those work for you. 3DSF.info is a pretty meticulously researched page that distinguishes between primary sources and conjecture throughout - have a look! :) —Unsigned comment by Mfnotes (talk • contribs)
Signature
Hello, and welcome Mfnotes, happy to see you've decided to create an account so you could add proper references to R2-D2. I just wanted to inform you that you must sign all messages on talk pages (including yours, here), by simply adding ~~~~ at the end of your messages, the wiki will then translate it your signature and a timepost, is quite simple ^^. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 20:03, April 5, 2020 (UTC)
