Hello, Maxikelley62063, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Darth Sidious
Stop changing Sidious to "Palpatine" as you did here, here, and here. Putting aside the name of his own page i.e. Darth Sidious, the Databank states that after he became Galactic Emperor Sidious had no further need to cultivate two personas, and was henceforth Darth Sidious in thought and action. This is something we've been doing for years now, ever since we moved his page from Sheev Palpatine to Darth Sidious. JRT2010 (talk) 06:38, February 27, 2020 (UTC)
- Again, stop doing this. Regardless of the fact that he was more well known as "Palpatine," he was "Darth Sidious" in thought and action after becoming the Emperor, as stated in the Databank. I don't get why this is so difficult for you to understand. JRT2010 (talk) 23:30, March 17, 2020 (UTC)
Darth Sidious
Why did they call him Palpatine in the Rise of Skywalker instead of Darth Sidious? User:Maxikelley62063 (User talk:Maxikelley62063)
- Most of your edits revolve around changing the name of Darth Sidious, which goes against community consensus and the naming policy on Wookieepedia. Please stop this behaviour, your recent edits here and here again defies previous users' revertions and explanations without even an argument. Nothing will be gained out of this. Stop now, or you may be banned from editing. - - -

Sourcing
While it's good that you've stopped trying to change the name of Darth Sidious, you still need to work on verifying your edits. I reverted your edit here because it was unsourced information. Please read the sourcing policy if you still do not know how to create citations in articles. JRT2010 (talk) 05:04, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
- Again, please verify your information. Not only do you continue to fail at this, you removed a citation here. Just verify your edits, and read the Manual of Style because you're not marking the headings the right way. Once again, stop adding unsourced information to the articles or you could be banned from editing. JRT2010 (talk) 06:33, March 23, 2020 (UTC)
- How do you verify your information on editing? —Unsigned comment by Maxikelly62063 (talk • contribs)
- Hello! Please refer to Wookieepedia's sourcing and attribution policies. I personally recommend using the Source editor, (on the dropdown next to the edit button) it makes the process easier. I also suggest looking at Wookieepedia's featured articles for an idea of what an article of high quality (pages with proper sourcing) should look like. Again, to do this, switching over to the Source editor/see source allows you to—well—see the source: the wikitext that makes all the magic sourcing references happen. May the Force be with you! - - -

Signature
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wookieepedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --NanoLuukeCloning facility 22:21, March 31, 2020 (UTC)
- Please pay attention to what I wrote above. And do not sign elsewhere than on a talk page. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 16:53, April 1, 2020 (UTC)
Re: Reference
Hello Maxikelley62063. While we appreciate good faith edits, we require that all information on Wookieepedia be sourced, per our policy. You'll find on the page I just linked everything you need to know to do this. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 22:21, March 31, 2020 (UTC)
- I wont add back what I revert on Padmé Amidala. If you want your edits not to be reverted, then simply source/reference them, like I told you yesterday. Read the sourcing policy. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 16:53, April 1, 2020 (UTC)
- I shouldn't have to take your hand when I linked a page whose goal is to teach what is required of you, and when you could take the time to observe what experienced editors are doing. If you can't take the time to do the very basic, don't expect other editors to waste their time on your problems. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 18:03, April 2, 2020 (UTC)
Images
The |right is automatically removed when you edit images, which is what happened when you made this edit here. Use "Edit source" to avoid removing the |right by accident. Thank you. JRT2010 (talk) 14:01, April 4, 2020 (UTC)
Linking
Please, be careful when linking. In several occasion, you created duplicates. An article is to be linked only once in the infobox, once in the introduction paragraphs, and once in the main body. Also, several of the links you produced were faulty, ever using redirects, or ever being completely wrong, creating redlinks in the process. I would recommend that you familiarize better with the Linking section of the Manual of Style. I would also ask you to be more careful in your writing, as you often use the wrong tense, and your wording is quite repetitive. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 17:48, April 9, 2020 (UTC)
Naming
To answer your question, we have rules for naming articles, as stated in the naming policy. In the case of Palpatine/Dark Sidious, refers to "General rules", "Be precise when possible". I would also like to remind you, since I see that you still fail to sign your message properly, that all messages are to be signed by simply writing ~~~~ at the end of your message, so that it will sign your named, with a timepost. --NanoLuukeCloning facility 21:08, April 14, 2020 (UTC)
Re:Youtube question
I have no idea of what you are talking about. Can you be a more specific? --NanoLuukeCloning facility 14:22, April 17, 2020 (UTC)
- Also, when adding a new topic of discussion to a talk page, please put it under a section, titled between == == --NanoLuukeCloning facility 14:23, April 17, 2020 (UTC)
Palpatine
Whatever it is you're attempting to do with the Palpatine/Legends article, please stop. It should not be redirected to the Canon Darth Sidious article, and all you're doing is breaking templates. IFYLOFD (Talk) 01:33, April 18, 2020 (UTC)
