Hello, Markband, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
Sourcing
Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:27, July 7, 2019 (UTC)
- Please remember to add the source for your edits to prevent them from being reverted --Lewisr (talk) 14:05, August 24, 2019 (UTC)
Force barrier
The reason I undid your edit was because its unsourced, not because I'm doubting its wrong or anything. The edits are appreciated and I do consider the effort people put into their edits, but when its unsourced its fair grounds for me to revert it. Policy states that all edits must be sourced, and by adding references to source these edits --Lewisr (talk) 17:11, August 18, 2019 (UTC)

- Once again, please source all your additions otherwise this may cause you being blocked from editing.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:49, August 29, 2019 (UTC)
- You're going against policy by not adding sources and making your edits from a POV perspective. Once again, I remind you to source your edits otherwise I will revert them and probably you're going to get a block for not sourcing your edits (You've been warned about this 3 times)--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 08:11, August 29, 2019 (UTC)
In use
Hey there, just wanted to let you know if you're working on an article and want to let others know so you don't have problems with losing work because of edit conflicts, you can put {{Inuse}} at the top of the page so other users know to check with you before making changes. Here's a page where you can see how that looks. And if you need a place to work on your edits before you change the actual page, you can create a page like User:Markband/Workbench to perfect them!
I know it can be tough when you're first starting out cos there's a TON of policies to learn, but don't feel discouraged if you make mistakes. It takes time. Just do your best and don't be afraid to ask questions if you're not sure about something! Most people are happy to help. There's so much Star Wars stuff that still needs to be written about so trust me, every contribution helps! Toqgers (talk) 08:34, August 29, 2019 (UTC)
- Oh, and take a look at the links welcome message at the top of your talk page! Manual of style and layout guide are your friends and Wookieepedia:Sourcing will help if you're confused on how to do references for the source of your information. Toqgers (talk) 08:37, August 29, 2019 (UTC)
