Sourcing edits

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. If you would like some help learning how to properly source additions, you can see this tutorial or ask for assistance in our Discord server. Thanks! spookywillowwtalk 19:58, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

  • Per the same reason above, please do not change the soundtrack lists unless you have a source for it, as they currently align with the other lists in the External links section at the bottom of each page. TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 23:00, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

RE: Deleted scenes

Per above, the portions of the edit that have been removed did not have reliable sources. For example, a random user's YouTube video of re-framed/constructed scenes with a good portion of the footage being sourced to other YouTube channels like Wicket 396 or Hal9000, in turn, is not a reliable source (you can read more about that here). Hope this helps, TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 02:41, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

RE: Deleted scenes

Well all I ask that you not delete my edits for the deleted Duel on Mustafar as they were missing from the article and they were included in deleted scenes pulled from a reliable source called "ROTS deleted scenes". It comes frome number 55 in the notes and references in the article Scenes cut from Star Wars. And to be more specific, the scenes that are on article come from said source. Also the deleted footage should be written in order.Mariojack1 (talk) 20:53, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

  • As I've said, a random user's YouTube video is not a reliable source—it's not an officially licensed source by Lucasfilm (such as deleted scenes included in home video releases, on Disney+, etc.) or it's something shared by a Star Wars creative. Please do not revert your edits by sourcing it to that YouTube channel. Thank you, TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders Anıl Şerifoğlu (talk) 21:30, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
    • Well the scene with Obi-Wan using Anakin's lightsaber as well as his own (which is shown on the scene page) during the deleted duel is shown with the missing content, and all that comes from a video called The Unused Scenes of Star Wars by Noah Lawson. Also, there are several other scenes that have been written drawn from that source that I haven't added and they haven't been taken down. And if that's the case, that's a reliable source. So please don't delete my edits.
      • Ok, here's the deal: I've found the missing scenes in the Illustrated Screenplay as it is legitimate a source by George Lucas.

  • Hi, Mariojack1. I strongly recommend you to check what Wookieepedia considers a reliable source again as your latest edits still include content sourced to a random "deleted scenes" video on YouTube; and rumored scenes, in particular, have no place here. Thank you for your cooperation, TanDivoInsignia-SenateMurders AnilSerifoglu (talk) 00:07, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
    • Hi, Mariojack1, you are still not following the warnings above regarding using reliable sources. I'd be happy to help you out if you are having a problem or have any questions about what is and isn't a reliable source, but please reconsider your approach as you may be blocked from editing again if you continue to violate the attribution policy.
