Wookiees-Transparent

Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Please do not remove talk page and forum comments, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Grunny (Talk) 11:59, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Sourcing

Thank you for your recent additions to the site. However, in the future, instead of providing your source in the edit summary, can you use reference tags to add it into the article itself. How to use ref tags can be found at the bottom of this section of the editing page. This produces footnotes, which are then linked to the little numbers in brackets next to names and paragraphs. Thank you, and keep up the good work. - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 15:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey there. I just wanted to add that you need to source any additions that you make to Good and Featured articles. Otherwise, the changes will be reverted. Providing a source in the edit summary isn't sufficient. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 11:49, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
    • But... I just found something sourced with a source that wasn't a source at all. I removed it, but my edit was reverted? Do I have to source my erasing things that's not correctly sourced? Makashi Flourish 12:06, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Makashi Flourish

*Sigh* So I have to create a redlink?

Trash compactor/7th Sky Corps

TC

While Wookieepedia thanks you for your effort to find a legitimate source behind the naming of the 7th Sky Corps, please know that the Trash Compactor function is not a means for debunking possible fanon. If you need to confirm information from a source, please place the Confirm template on an article and use the talk page for the relevant discussion, or otherwise utilize the site's Knowledge Bank feature. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:10, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

  • I understand. Thanks for all your help. Makashi Flourish 21:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Edit war

Please stop edit warring with JangFett on the First Battle of Geonosis. Both of you have already broken the three-revert rule. CC7567 (talk) 21:57, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello

Hey man, cool it with the edit wars. Let's discuss about this here or on IRC. The edit summaries are not a good place to discuss about article issues, and I apologize if I seemed wrong reverting you. JangFett Talk 22:00, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

  • I apologize as well, I'm not really familiar with how things like this work... On the matter of Quinlan Vos, though: A Senior Jedi General equals a Jedi Master, true. But a Jedi Master does not necessarily equal a Senior Jedi General. Let's take Luminara Unduli for an example. She's a Master, yet commands the 41st Elite Legion, making her a "common" General. Makashi Flourish 22:07, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Well, the way I've been seeing it is that any Knight is a Jedi General, Masters who are not part of the council are Seniors, and Council members are High Generals. I believe its been this way for a while now. JangFett Talk 22:13, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
      • You're unfortunately right about that. It's a widely accepted misconception though. Ever seen ORBAT for the GAR? There are only 10 High Generals, although the Council consists of 12 members. And each corps is lead by a Jedi General and a Clone Marshal Commander—notice that Council member Ki-Adi-Mundi leads the Galactic Marines, making him a "common" General. ORBAT makes room for 20 Senior Generals. Ry-Gaul is the only confirmed Senior General that I know of—his division was the 2nd Sector Army. Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi are the only known High Generals. Makashi Flourish 22:19, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
        • Yes, lets just keep it at that. All right, thanks :) JangFett Talk 22:20, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
          • Thank you too! I'm glad we were able to solve this without aggressive negotiations :) [Edit: Err... wait, did I just misunderstand you?] Makashi Flourish 22:22, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
            • It is resolved, and no you did not :) JangFett Talk 22:29, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Jedi generals

Why do you keep changing instances of "High Jedi General" to "Jedi General"? --Xd1358 Talk 18:57, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

  • Because they are not High Generals. See High Jedi General. Makashi Flourish 18:59, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
    • Well, I think all the council members are. --Xd1358 Talk 19:00, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
      • A common misconception. All sources say there were only ten. Makashi Flourish 19:03, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
        • How do you know that Plo Koon isn't one? --Xd1358 Talk 19:05, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
          • We do know he was a Jedi General. We don't know whether he was a High General. Unless you can provide a source that proves your point. Makashi Flourish 19:08, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
            • Well, it'll much work to change all instances of High Jedi General to Jedi General. And BTW, how do we know that Windu and Kenobi were high generals? --Xd1358 Talk 19:10, November 11, 2009 (UTC)
              • They are sourced as such. In Guide to the GAR and The Force Unleashed, respectively. Makashi Flourish 19:17, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Okay. Feel free to revert the reverted edits :P --Xd1358 Talk 19:18, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

Talk pages

Removing comments on talk pages that have no relevance and/or qualify as vandalism is common practice on all wikis. Furthermore, outdated topics should not be restarted unless they are important. CC7567 (talk) 00:17, December 30, 2009 (UTC)
