Welcome, Jedi Master King!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH 01:07, September 10, 2011 (UTC) |
Re:Talk to ya
Hey Master King! I left you a message on your other account, so take a look there. :) Oh, and by the way, I just wanted to make sure that you knew that using two user pages is against the rules according to this rule. :) Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 02:42, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
I am sorry if i made a mistake was was going by this rule from the Sock puppetry page. If a registered user wishes to change his or her username, thus having two separate usernames, this is not an example of sockpuppetry. The old username need not be blocked: however, it is recommended that a note be placed on their old userpage noting the change of name.
- Right, I just didn't want you to get in trouble with an Admin. :) I used to be Mario Jedi, but soon changed my name to Cal Jedi. I just don't use Mario Jedi anymore. What did you want to talk about? Cal Jedi

I have a confession to make since i really have no clue what to do with the way to make a page i took the source code from yours and made it my own. If that is illegal I am sorry and will redo the jedi master king page from scratch. i just took it cause i liked the user boxes and they applied to me most of them anyway. sorry again, matt king
- It's not breaking any rules that I know of. When I saw your user page, I was very honored that you liked mine! :) Cal Jedi

I came across your page one night and that is what inspired me to join the wook myself I have been editing grammar for a couple of months now but never wanted to join until i saw your page. Also the baptist is not a copy persay i really am a Baptist and proud of it!! thanks for having the courage to put one on. I am trying to figure out the IRC it lets me log in but when i hit query under a user name it goes to a blank page and how do you make a signature i haven't found out how to make one. Just figured out IRC guess you wern't on try to catch you later, Jedi Master King
- Why, I'm very honored! Thank you for letting me know! I'm always glad to come across another Baptist! There are actually quite a few Baptists on the Wook. Master Fredcerique is also a Baptist and started LifeMusic Wiki, another Wiki that I contribute on. The IRC can be very complicated, it took me quite a while to figure out how to do it (I'm still not a hundred percent sure how I did it) :P If you ask on the IRC, someone will probably help you get it set up. As for the signature, just use the four tildes (~~~~) and your default sig will appear. If you want to change it to something else, you will have to work up another signature code (like mine) and paste your signature into the "signature" part of your preferences. Than click "use custom signature", and hit save and you should have it! It sounds complicated, but it's not once you get the hand of it. Anyway, after that long speel, :P it was nice to meet you, especially another Baptist, and I look forward to hearing more from you and editing with you! And maybe I'll see you on LifeMusic Wiki, we need more users right now. See ya later! Cal Jedi

Trash Compactor
Hello there, Jedi Master King! When you create a trash compactor vote like you did for Restaurateur, it is customary to provide voting options on the vote page, like "delete," "Keep," etc. Here is an example of one I did. Hope this helps! Corellian Premier

- Thanks for your help this is my second TC and I didn't know that you needed to add voting options. With my first one nobody said anything so i'm still learning as I go. Thanks for your help.--JediMasterKing'

Living People
Hi there! Just a note that {{StayOnTarget}} doesn't need to be added to every article on a real person. It should only be added to articles that have been written in more of an In-universe tone. Articles like Ewan McGregor don't need it, as they're written correctly as out-of-universe biographies. Cheers. Menkooroo 00:31, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the tip. I did not realize that!!! --JediMasterKing' (Personal Temple Comm Channel) 00:39, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Addendum: It should also be used if there's contentious, controversial, or biased material, or if it's written as if the person is dead. Anyway, just follow the link on the template; it'll explain it better than I can. :) Menkooroo 00:37, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Re: Old user page
Hey, King. Thanks for the congrats. In response to your query about your old user page, I have a few suggestions. First, I'd like to encourage you to switch your skin to Monobook instead of the Wikia skin through your preferences. Monobook is the official skin of Wookieepedia, and in it, you can't see your picture, name, etc. as those are features of the Wikia skin. Secondly, if you remember your old password, you should be able to log in and just remove your information. Deleting the page won't remove the info, as the heading is global, and not bound to that user page. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers.—Cal Jedi (Personal Comm Channel) 17:02, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
