Template Speedy Delete?

Umm...that's because I don't want to have to do the following:

[[Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser|''Dreadnaught''-class heavy cruiser]]

Do you see?

It's very irritating to do over and over again, and also how does it hurt?

Cheers,

  • Copy-paste helps you there very much. Trust me on that, I do a lot of such.- TopAce 21:00, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah I know, but it is still extremely annoying. How does it hurt, I ask you? Oh, and also, I think it'd be better for Wookieepedia in general for you to respond to me, because there are a handful of article that'd I've written with redlinks to now-nonexistent templates...!!! Cheers, RelentlessRecusant20px 23:05, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
  • RelentlessRecusant, Wookieepedia isn't about finding easier ways to type things. Those template were completely unnecessary, and you made them because you were too lazy to type out the whole thing. As for the redlinks now, it's not my fault. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:06, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Dear sir,
The way that I see it is that it helps me tremendously, yet does no harm. I have no wish to offend you or start an edit war over the templates. I have a user, Ulgak or something, who agrees that it's more handy and that it could "help clean up the source code of some pages".
Hey, see you later!
Cheers,
RelentlessRecusant20px 00:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
SC This user has a major superiority complex."

  • Knock it off, Ugluk. You were just originally mad at me for saying that there was a glare on that image of C-3PO, and now you've turned it into a personal vendetta against me. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:01, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Hey, Nebulax...we can resolve this peacefully, right? There's nothing that harms Wookieepedia about my templates. I mean...that's just like asking "Why do they have articles on Wookieepedia?" The answer: "People are too lazy to look up the books for how many proton torps are on an X-wing." By your logic, Wookieepedia itself should be deleted.

Let's not turn this into fight, alright? We both know that both you and Ugluk are productive members of the Wookieepedia society.

Cheers, RelentlessRecusant20px 15:15, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

  • RelentlessRecusant, those templates serve no purpose. If we were to keep making them, Wookieepedia would be filled with unnecessary templates. And no, by my logic, Wookieepedia should not be deleted. Wookieepedia is helpful to those wishing to learn more about Star Wars. Those templates aren't. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:18, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
    • And, also, if they'd like to ban me, inform them that they're free to do so. I think that my editing on Wookieepedia only benefits the world, and that if they don't want someone to help them write articles on fleet vehicles, sure. I'll roll out the welcome carpet for that.
It's in your hands how you want to handle this, Nebulax.
Cheers, RelentlessRecusant20px 15:20, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Next time, please reply on my talkpage. It's more convenient. Thanks! Cheers, RelentlessRecusant20px 15:21, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • The only people I like to see banned are vandals. I do not wish to see you banned. However, Wookieepedia has a policy. Those templates were and are going to be deleted. If you continue to create them, you may get banned for that. It's in the administrators' hands, not mine. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Next time, please reply on my talkpage. It's more convenient. Thanks! Cheers, RelentlessRecusant20px 15:21, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • To your statement: people that wanna learn about SW can simply buy all the books and resources, except they are either too lazy or don't have enough money. Wookieepedia and all the other wikias are for convenience. And also, what's wrong with a few extra templates?
  • sighs*

Cheers,

RelentlessRecusant20px 15:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Where's the policy? RelentlessRecusant20px 15:24, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
    • Wookieepedia is necessary. And as to your "what's wrong with a few extra templates?", the answer is simple: Wookieepedia is not a place to create templates like that. Also, the policy may not be written down, but it's happened to numerous people before. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 15:26, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Leaving?!

"RelentlessRecusant, please do not leave Wookieepedia. This is simply a minor issue. In the past, I've cause one person to leave, and he was a very good friend of mine. I don't want to see you be the second person who leaves because of me. I know I'm being a major jerk, but it's only because I'm following the policy of Wookieepedia."
user:Jack Nebulax

I find, actually, found it relatively minor, until it exploded into this current conflagaration. I don't control anyone's actions except myself's. If you cause people to leave, it's definately not the people who leave's fault.

I also would like to see a written, existing policy on these templates.

It wouldn't have been such a big deal for me until it escalated to this level. Why you block people from using handicaps for simple convenience is just what's pushing the last strand of transparisteel on the exploding TIE fighter.

Cheers,

RelentlessRecusant20px 20:07, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

  • I already told you, RelentlessRecusant, to ask the administrators about that policy. And the only reason I caused someone to leave is because I kept reverting his placement of images on an article because the placements messed up the article for me. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:13, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
    • And for God's sake, if we were to use templates like that, Wookieepedia would be filled with them. That's not a good thing. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:14, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
      • That's entirely true. Might make me reconsider the value of those templates and change my vote on the consensus. - TopAce 20:16, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • You're the one that deleted them, so cite the source of your authority. I don't have to defend myself from anyhting..you deleted something, not me. RelentlessRecusant20px 21:01, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Let the consensus track decide it please. It's not worth arguing about. And Ugluk needs to cool it. Seriously. It's in the hands of the community, so let's not argue any more. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 21:08, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Non-aggressive negotiations

  • Fleet Admiral, I'm talking to Relentless Recusant right now, trying to persuade him to stay. All I can say is, "Great, here's another thing for people to remember you by." I know you were not trying to tick him off and I know you've said this before, but would you please leave a note on his page apologizing for offending him, that you did what you did because you thought it was the right thing, etc. I mean, the most important thing right now is for both sides to be agreeable. No, I'm not saying he's right. I'm just asking you to help correct a disagreement all blown out of proportion. Thanks. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 22:53, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Through the Jundland Wastes

Hey Jack, I need help on through the Jundland wastes level in lego star wars 2. The minikit canister by the quicksand that threepio has to suck up is hard to get to. My good admiral,

Please tell me that you did not revert my additions to the armament section on the aforementioned article.

And on the side, I thought that we were entering a new era of civil discussions...well, I was apparently mistaken, no?

I propose a solution: 6 heavy turbolasers, 2 heavy ion batteries, 60 XX-9 turbolaser batteries, and 60 Norstel NK-9 ion cannons. Makes everyone happy. I wrote that down when Nebulax reverted them.

Oh, and dear admiral, it hasn't been under dispute for a long time.

Chancellor

As i have tried to tell you "Chancellor" is how office holders of chancellorships in the real world are referred to - Germany and Austria for example - constantly using the official title is thus wrong - like in the real world references should be like this - "Chancellor Palpatine said in a speech at the Chancellery building today..", "the Chancellor told me that Order 65 is all Sith have rebelled" "Of course Chancellor, i will do as you ask.." not things like: "The Supreme Chancellor announced on the Republic Holonet that he like to sing in the shower", "Supreme Chancellor Palpatine told me...", "Of course Supreme Chancellor, i will do as you ask...".

          • Eh, I'll work something out. The biggest conflict I can see is that Nebulax should not know Luzdando's real name- it could be back-traced and that would be bad for him. To his enemies, he refers to himself as the Guardian or the Atarumaster. I try and keep my fanon to the level that it could actually fit within canon without massive changes- which is the whole Darth Chrissa fight (Jabbathehuttgartogg) and most of what Jaina Solo and CountDooku13 have written has not been incorporated yet. I'm still conducting a case-study to see how much that would alter the in-story universe. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 16:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Numbers, order, and Aurek Units

  • Hey, Jack, is there a hard-and-fast rule that numbered units should be kept in alphabetical order as the number is spelled as opposed to numerical order, or is it a personal preference thing?
