User subpages

Nebulax, i was wondering how to go about making user subpages, such as the ones you have for your Star Wars alter ego's personal starship and such. Thanks for the help.--Commander Jake 08:22, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, first you take your user name (User:Commander Jake) and put a slash after it. Then, write what you want the subpage's title to be (for instance, if you wanted a subpage titled "Space", it would look like User:Commander Jake/Space). Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 11:11, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Ah, thanks very much.--Commander Jake 12:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Shoot...I just realized I didn't know how to link to one. Can you help, please?--Commander Jake 20:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I just realized how a few minutes after posting that. Thanks anyway, though.--Commander Jake 20:30, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker troubles

I'd just like to say thanks for all the help you've provided over the past few days with the "merge" discussions. Good luck with your future edits. Jasca Ducato 20:36, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

3 Revert Rule

I've noticed you've recently entered into a miniature edit war on the Stormtrooper page and so I thought I'd remind you of our 3 revert rule. As it is enforced so little, I have chosen not to enforce the 24 hour ban at this time (though I should have really a few edits back), but either yourself or other members of the edit war continue to revert I'm afraid I will have to do so. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:02, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I thought our usual procedure was to lock the article, not block the users involved. Should we be locking the article? —Silly Dan (talk) 01:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
    • The 3RR page says we're meant to implement a 24 hour ban on any users who break the 3RR. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:06, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
      • It also says "the fact that users may be blocked for excessive reverting does not imply that they will be blocked." If we can resolve the dispute by sending everyone to the talk page, it seems like a better idea to me (unless one party in the dispute is adding fanon or whatnot.) —Silly Dan (talk) 01:14, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi, we haven't met

My names Brisky and I was just wondering, if they had a spoiler warning template, surely they wouldn't have the biggest spoiler in the entire SW universe in big writing on it would they? However, they have and personally I think it's absolutly crazy, can you do anything about it?

Reply via my user talk page pls.

Brisky 20:01, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Granted what you said about the length of time ESB has been out, but there ar still people who don't know........Don't ask me why they'd be on the wiki though....

Brisky 14:13, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

    • Yes, but that's their problem, not ours. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 17:05, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Couldn't Vader's line: 'Obi-wan never told you . . .'etc. work just as well? It provides a warning to both those in the know & those who aren't without ruining the surprise factor. Tocneppil 17:51, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
  • You're absolutly right lol, by the way, remember what I added to Grievous?. I know I worded it terribly but the fact that he did get off the ramp early should be noted Brisky 16:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Imperial Knight

I do not wish to argure with you but why do you keep deleting the weapons and source sectin on Imperial Knight Jacen Solo Jedi Master

A question

I'm new, and I was wondering how you get the "This user thinks Stormtroopers are awsome" and "This user supports the republic" things up. I would actually like Clonetroopers. --1upD 20:47, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

130/140 ABY

Are you sure the year is 130, and not 140, because someone put all the events for it on the 140 page. - Bub

Re: interlanguage links

Inter-langauge links (such as de:Darth Vader) show up in a box on the left toolbar, below the Wikia messages box. They don't show up at the end of the article, which is where you were probably looking. RMF 17:07, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Era template

The era template was actually decided to be used for all finite subjects, which more or less only precludes it from being used on planet, species, and creature articles. And even some of those (eg. a bioengineered race, or a race who became extinct) can have them. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 12:58, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

  • It just seems very strange, though. I understand species and characters, but why everything else? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 13:00, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Basically, because they're as much a finite subject as anything else. Sure, most mechnical objects can last longer than most characters can, but they also don't exist before they're manufactured (obviously) and eventually get faded out. The era template simply shows when they were around that we know of. You can, of course, feel free to start up a Consensus Track to re-vote on their usage if you feel very strongly about it. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 13:04, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
      • I'll let it go. So, I take it most of the articles here without the eras template are going to be getting them soon? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 13:06, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
        • Well really they should have been using them already, but when people went on a splurge of adding the era template to articles they seemed to only really focus on characters, which led to the misbelief that they were only to be used on such page. Basically, as long as it's a finite subject, it needs the era template eventually. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 13:08, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Legacy era Stormtroopers

A while back you made a comment about stormtroopers on this page. I just wrote a small answer there with a pic from Legacy 0 if you're interested. --Eyrezer 01:25, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

The ship that gives doom

I think having too many images for the Doomgiver article is not a good idea, the article is not so long. What do you think of a Gallery of Doomgiver images? The only way I can think of expanding the article is to add every detail of Kyle's onboard mission, but I think if any, it should have a separate article, given that we already have a Mission to Nar Shaddaa - TopAce 11:27, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Numbers

  • Before I edit the numbers section again to include "LAAT" can you give me the reason as to why it was removed? --Razzy1319 03:20, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
  • But I later state why it can be construed as such. --Razzy1319 16:59, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Yet it doesn't make sense to call the LAAT an assault ship. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:10, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
      • And too call a Star Dreadnaught a Super Star Destroyer? --Razzy1319 19:14, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
        • That makes sense, because Star Dreadnoughts were the largest Super Star Destroyers. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:15, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
          • Not if all in-universe statements call them Super Star Destroyers. --Razzy1319 19:51, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
            • Yet they are called Star Dreadnoughts in sources, and they are the largest Super Star Destroyers. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:53, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
            • Yes but "all" in-universe sources call them Super Star Destroyers, not Star Dreadnaughts. Therefore an "assualt ship" can be privy to numerous interpretations -Razzy1319 19:56, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
              • Yes, but LAATs and HAETs aren't called assault ships in-universe. While there are most likely other assault ships, the LAATs and HAETs aren't considered as other assault ships. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:58, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
                • But the fact that they have "assault" in their designation and given that they are seen assualting the planets is enough for someone with an ignorance of military designation to construe it as such. Just like he construes that Super Star Destroyers arent Star Dreadnaughts --Razzy1319 20:05, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Again, we are talking about an in-universe perspective, a perspective without proper knowledge of how to name ships. When he sees "assault" on its given name and he sees it assaulting a planet, he can name it an assualt ship. --Razzy1319 20:13, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
    • If I could interject here: the term "assault ship" is used to refer to Acclamator cruisers and similar, so, in this context, calling a LAAT or HAET an "assault ship" would equate it with the Acclamator. Yes, it is a ship that can lead assaults, but then so are any number of other vessels, if you're going to take the term that broadly. X-wings are used for assaults, but we don't call them X-wing assault ships - Kwenn 20:13, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Infobox placement

If you're going to move the infobox down on the Battle of the Emperor's Citadel article (even though it has affected the second pic in the article) at least go through and do it for the whole campaign. --Eyrezer 12:34, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Aren't those infoboxes supposed to be under the main infobox anyway? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 12:35, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
    • There is no policy for putting them above or below. The discussion is here if you want to weigh in on it. Now that the colors can be customised, there is a stronger argument for putting them above as a unifying factor. Either way, it needs to be consistant across a campaign. --Eyrezer 12:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
      • The problem with putting them below is that it causes some of the pics to go wonky and overlap the words, as can be seen on this one you just changed. --Eyrezer 12:49, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

What happens? --SGCommand 17:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

That's basically it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 17:30, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Emperor

Surely the Fels and Krayt, as Emperors of the Galactic Empire, are by definition Galactic Emperors? - Kwenn 19:51, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

  • By speculating, yes, but by following what is written, no. Unlike Palpatine, who was called Emperor of the Galaxy, the three Fels and Krayt were only Emperors. I would gladly call them Galactic Emperors, but we'll have to wait for a source to confirm it. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:53, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
    • But don't we call other leaders of the Empire "Galactic Emperors"? They're listed on that article. Besides, Palpatine is hardly ever called Galactic Emperor, most often referred to just as "Emperor". It's implied that a leader of the Galactic Empire is a Galactic Emperor, just as Obi-Wan deduced that Palpatine was the Emperor simply by his mention of "Empire" - Kwenn 19:55, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
      • Look at it this way: The Emperor of the Roman Empire wasn't called Roman Emperor just because he ruled the Roman Empire, correct? Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 19:56, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
        • But he ruled all of Rome regardless, just as the Galactic Empire rules all of the galaxy, by dint of the fact he's leader of a Galactic Empire - Kwenn 19:58, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
          • Kwenn, if a source says "Galactic Emperor Roan Fel" or "Galactic Emperor Darth Krayt", I'd be the first one to change it. But right now, I feel that we shouldn't have "Galactic Emperor". Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:00, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

User sigs

Hey Admiral. Once again, I find myself in need of your wiki expertise. How do put those pics and links to your talk page in your sig?--Commander Jake 13:49, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  • At the top right corner of Wookieepedia, there's the "Preferences" link. Under the "User profile" tab, type in what you want in the "Nickname" area. Make sure to click on "Raw signatures". Then, just add what you want on your signature (with links) and, if you want a picture, make sure it's small enough (around 20px). Here's mine as it looks in the "Nickname" area:

Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px

Hope that helps. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 13:54, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Yarua

Yarua's height it is the same that Peter Mahew's because he was the one that used the costume during the Phantom Menace's shoots.

Yarua was a loyalist member, and supported the jedi Order and the Democratic parameters, critizicing the power detours. He was not mentioned after the Phantom menace but most likely he was inside of the delegation. Their memebrs were arrested and soem excecuted after the empire, a possible fate for yarua and another charge agaist him.

The B-2 Arm

Wouldn't it be kind of funny that if, when he first got it, the B-2 arm would fold up like when they are first deployed in AtoC? Like up against the shest. I think that that would be kind of annoying. Master Halcyon

I kind of thought you'd like it. Don't know why. Guess I'm just a good guesser, from everything ranging to math problems to Hyperspace calculations. Master Halcyon

very well

Weird Troopers

Excuse me Jack Nebulax, you have helped me with some things in the past and I was wondering if you knew who these Stormtroopers are: thumb|200px|Troopers They are not described in any of the trooper classes listed under "Stormtrooper variants" so I am beginning to think we don't have an article on them. Any information will be much appreciated. Thank you. Rod

They are either Lumiya's or Daala's. Wait, I'm almost certain they were Iceheart's.But it would make sence that they were Lumiya's, being that they she is in the pictures. Master Halcyon

A favor to ask...

I have a favor to ask of you. Can my character have served on you Venator under you for a small lenth of time before getting his own command of his own Venator in your fleet in the Old Republic? If you say yes, thanks. If no, oh well... Master Halcyon

Thanks. But one thing, what was your first Venator and its launch year?Master Halcyon

Ok. He served on the Quasar Flame in 20 BBY to 19 BBY and then his own command in 19 to 17 BBY. You may not care about the last part, but I just wanted to get my thoughts straitened out or something. Master Halcyon

If you do that, then I will to, once I actully type it down... Master Halcyon

  • Can I also use the Quasar Flame on my userpage as well, thanks.

Hi, we've talked before and I was wondering if you just sent a message to me about the vandalism page. What is that about? Also the message was sent to 64.12.116.7 and not to me, Aceedo. Recent Update to Buzz Droid Page

Hey, just wanted to apologize for adding the wrong quote to the page. I was working on it at the same time as the Grievous page, and I was going to add the NEGTD quote for it as well. That is, until I found out it was a movie quote. I still had to make a change to it, though (changing the manufacturer from Baktoid Combat Automata to Colicoid Creation Nest), so I guess I forgot to get rid of the quote when I updated the page. Again, sorry for that. TIEPilot051999 20:19, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Re: Apology

Nebulax, don't worry about it. I think we both do that to each other so much because we both tend to be just as stubborn as the other. I can see your arguement for redirecting the Emperor article to the Galactic Emperor article. Can we agree to have a bit in that article that acknowledges the differences between the original Palpatine-created position and the Legacy era position? Next, about the Supreme Commander bit: I still stand by my part. Basically, Pellaeon's title was specified to be precisely "Supreme Commander of the Imperial fleet" despite the fact he very clearly commanded all Imperial forces. This is probably due in part to the fact that the Imperial Remnants authority was formed under Daala following the Tsoss Beacon incident reunifing the Imperial warlords. Daala was a fleet officer while at the same time she made it clear she didn't want to rule (i.e. didn't want to be Empress), so it makes sense she would have chosen a title within the Imperial Navy, commanding the fleet (since she was most interested in that). Basically, what I am trying to say is that the title remained, but the responsibility expanded to command all Imperial forces. At the same time, it's quite possible Pellaeon held more than one title, but we don't have anything to tell us specifically that. That doesn't discredit it, don't get me wrong, but as far as I understand, we only have one source that specficifies a title of any sort (i.e. Vision of the Future specifically states "Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet"). And also, I'm sorry for acting the way I did.--SOCL 21:20, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

  • About the Emperor (Legacy era) bit: Certainly. About the Supreme Commander bit: I'm not debating that it wasn't Pellaeon's title; I'm just saying that the title seems to have two names. And, of course, apology accepted. ;) Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:23, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

        • Okay, can I have the information on your character? I'll make the infobox here with "nowikis", and you can then just add it without the "nowikis" to your page. Or, I could just put it there myself. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 23:56, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
          • Yeah, here it is. Eye color: Blue, Hair color: brown, Home planet: Korriban, birthdate: 1500 ABY, associates: Dark Jedi/ Sith, species: human (clone), date of death: unknown. and my personal info: supports galactic empire, supports the Sith, formerly supported the Jedi, formerly supported the Galactic Republic, communicates in fluent english, comunicates with VERY basic levels of spanish, supports all that uses the Force in the galaxy. and if you could just put it directly on my page, that would be great. THANK YOU! -Lord vader1414 00:40, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
            • Well, I can make you the infobox, but there's a list of user templates somewhere that shows you what to add. I'll make the infobox in a second. Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 02:04, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
              • Thank you! It looks great!-Lord vader1414 19:07, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
                • One more favor to ask, how do you get a picture in before the info box? -Lord vader1414 19:39, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
                  • Well, first you have to upload it, then, where it says "image=|", you add the image in between the "=" and the "|". Fleet Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
                    • Ah, okay. Now, two more things (sorry if I'm a bother): 1) How do you get those user boxes (the ones with your personal info, like languages, etc.)? 2)How do you insert that line thing that you showed me (the one after the "=")? Thanks again for all your help! -Lord vader1414 14:00, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
