Queen's Shadow
I checked out the Wordery page and they have the book available to order and books are always supposed to be country restricted per licensing that's why in the UK the publisher is Egmont, but that doesn't deserve to be added otherwise all books would have that. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:10, March 24, 2019 (UTC)
- As I said, I went to Wordery website and its available. I did saw the tweet you're refering, the Hardcover version is supposed to be restricted given that licesing in the UK belongs to another publisher. "Restrictions" happen with every single novel, for example if you want to buy Aftermath or Queen's Shadow in Mexico technically you can't given that there's no licensing for English books here, but through other websites you can order them. Also, I asked people from the UK and they told me they were able to get their HC copy.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 08:13, March 26, 2019 (UTC)
- But it's an oddity. Every other book has been released in hardcover in the UK, even the kids books. It seems strange to not allow this information on this page when it's clear that people will be looking for why they can't find it, and also because there are other pages that list versions of the book.
I also don't understand what the issue is with having free information, this is an information site is it not? Who does it hurt to have that on the page? Nobody. Who does it help? Everyone in the UK who is looking for the hardcover version. It doesn't hurt to have it there and it's on the appropriate page.
First you removed my post because there were no sources. I gave you sources and now you're saying it shouldn't be on the page. Well then I ask you, what page SHOULD it go on? The book has been entirely removed from the "List of novels by release date" and "List of future books" pages. So where should this information go, because I guarantee you I'm not the only person who has been looking for this information.--InfinityNexus (talk) 13:23, March 26, 2019 (UTC)
Lista
Editing one page gives you no obligation to edit another one. So please stop thinking that someone can't edit a pgae unless they edit something else first. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 10:13, October 2, 2019 (UTC)
- As I said before, This -> "you're not going to put it on the other list, don't remove it from the first list." is completely incorrect to assume. You can edit whatever you want and not be obligated to add it in another list. You can't put conditions to other users since that would be harassment, which is a blockable offence per our Blocking policy. So please, I recommend you to stop messaging those kind of messages. Also I recommend you to edit yourself, if you see that a list wasn't updated then you have the option to add it yourself. Wookieepedia is a community effort.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 20:04, October 5, 2019 (UTC)
- Once again, this is my final word. Drop it. There's a feature that its the History where you can see the recent edits from that page (E.g. this) Continuing this may be considered disruption--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:12, October 6, 2019 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for 3 days for uncivil behavior. Leaving messages discouraging people from editing are a big no, every contribution is appreciated and should be treated with good intentions. Asking to not edit a page unless another one does too is something that shouldn't be happening, not everyone knows every single page here or every single list that this website has. Instead of saying "don't do it again unless" just say "Remember that this page exist" or "Thanks for contributing, there's also this list that can be updated every time they release a new novel". This isn't about what you're asking, is about how you're asking it. I hope this temporal ban lets you reconsider your approach. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:07, October 6, 2019 (UTC)
Re: Force Collector
Hey InfinityNexus, I'm not sure what the problem is here. There's literally no reason to exclude the US release of Force Collector. Fandom is based out of California, and the site defaults to American English—there's nothing racist about that. Take a look at Star Wars Lost Stars, Vol. 1 or Star Wars: Alien Archive for other examples. - Cwedin(talk) 22:34, October 31, 2019 (UTC)
- To be clear I never told anyone that there couldn't be two release dates on the infobox. You wanted to add a section named Availability explaining a whole different thing. There's a difference between release dates and saying that a book wasn't available to pre order because licensing (Same example, you can't order from a book store the Force Collector UK edition in the US, given licensing restrictions). So Cwedin is right, the US release date is okay to be there.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:34, November 1, 2019 (UTC)
