RE: Palpatine
Hello, Hero of Time.
Just so you know, your edit to Palpatine was reverted because it contained speculation and original research. On Wookieepedia, we have policies against including such in our in-universe articles. Feel free to see WP:NOR and WP:ATT for more information. Thanks. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 01:42, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually it's not speculation, it's fact that he would have had to prove his legality to run. So we'll have to agree to disagree there. Hero of Time 87 01:44, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, it is. If you can provide a source that states these records did exist, then we will be more than happy to include them. Saying that "because one thing was, therefore another is" is speculation and original research (OR). I do not want to discourage you from editing, but be mindful that information that is speculative or fanon will be reverted. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 01:47, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Actually it ISN'T. Everyone knows that to run for a government office you have to have records to prove you're able to run legally for that office. I disagree with you there I'm afraid. Hero of Time 87 01:49, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- I hate to say it but "everyone knows" has no place here. There must be a canon source that states this; otherwise, it's OR. For all we know, Naboo has totally different rules than Earth. Chack Jadson (Talk) 01:51, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Just because you are assuming that "everyone knows" does not mean it is canon information. The Star Wars galaxy, while much like our own, is not necessarily the same. Just because the Mayor of New York City needs paperwork, does not mean a Senator from Naboo does. Please be advised, that if you continue to add this, you are running the risk of violating our rules about an edit war (WP:3RR) and may be blocked from editing.
