Pantora system

Why the move? In the Databank entry for Orto Plutonia it as clearly stated: "desolate ice planet found in the Pantora system". Mauser 14:26, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Figures. The Pantoran entry in the databank clearly calls it the Pantoran system. They need to uncross their wires - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
    • Hmm. Stupid Databank. Green Tentacle (Talk) 14:29, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
      • Right. They latest entries even go as far as mixing IU- and OOU- information. Wookieepedia articles written by newbies sometime make more sense. Mauser 14:31, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
        • I took GT's suggestion on IRC and added "also known as the Pantora system" to the article. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 14:39, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
          • After examination it looks that two entries say Pantora system and only one - Pantoran system. Since the latest entry also misspels the moon name as Panotora, I believe it is simply another mistake and the most common designation is to be used. I'll move the article back. No, probably not. It might be best to push it back around two weeks, just to ensure it'll definitely be done by then and we don't have to shuffle again. I'll let you do the honours, if you don't mind, since I'll probably mess it up again. :-P Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:08, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Redemption

Okiedoke. Here's my list of objections/concerns:

  • I'd prefer slightly more context/detail on the SOTE comic stuff to explain that the Rebel fleet's location had been more or less discovered, even though the Imperial ship couldn't report in, and they had to relocate their position.
  • There is a bit more to the ending ESB scene aboard the Redemption with expanded dialogue between Luke, Lando, and the droids, in which the group comes to really accept Lando has part of their entourage for the first time. I can help you out with this if need be.
  • I would prefer that the reference to F4-7 from the Bright Hope be changed to FX-7. The story, which identifies that there are only two droids present, alternates between calling the same droid FX-7 and F4-7 for no reason, but other sources have confirmed that it's only 2-1B and FX-7 present. Please see the Bright Hope article's BTS for greater explanation, if need be.
  • Per what we sort of discussed previously, there is a minor bit at the end of the second edition of GG3 in which Rieekan and Derlin are aboard a "frigate" immediately following the finale of ESB, where the fleet is still beyond the rim of the galaxy at their rendezvous point, and they dispatch the ship the Out Runner to do some stuff in the Hoth asteroid field. Since Rieekan is aboard the Redemption in TBH at this exact time (and I might add that the second edition of GG3 draws upon both TBH and SOTE info, since it was published at the same time), I would think it's ok to go with this being the Redemption. More solid than the Marvel stuff, at any rate. I can help you with detail here if you decide to run with this.
  • Also, I think it would be fair to make mention of Toryn Farr's medal ceremony and promotion aboard the Redemption from that TBH story
  • I refrained from linking to either "neurospecialist" or "neurologist," since I wasn't sure if these are actual-used terms. Please redlink where appropriate
  • Also, per the [[Darth/Legends|Darth]] [[Anakin Skywalker/Legends|Vader]] stuff, I linked to the first mention of "frigate" in the article, which is apart of "Nebulon-B frigate." You might want to change that to your liking
  • Finally, in the Commanders/Crew section, I spelled out the instances of numerals for numbers less than 100 only to keep consistent with what the rest of the article did previously up to that point. Feel free to change it to how you like, but I would just prefer to keep it all the same throughout either way.
  • That's all. Nice work. Toprawa and Ralltiir 05:32, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Battle of Brentaal IV FAN objection

Hey, GT; just wanted to have a little chat over your second objection regarding the Independence. Now, I can only see one Mon Cal cruiser in this image, which is at the top of the page. The other ships, to my eye, in descending order, are a Gallofree medium transport, a Bantha-class assault shuttle, another medium transport, and another Bantha-class. Both Bantha-class ships are identifiable by the command tower on their left hand sides. Additionally, this image only shows a single Mon Calamari cruiser as well. Only the Independence is ever refered to be at the battle, and Home One just appears later in the last issue. Now, Ackbar on the Independence is supposition based on this fact, so I can reword that easily enough, but the evidence I have points to a single known MC cruiser, with Home One arriving later. It may be a simple case of the writers mixing up the Independence and Home One. What are your thoughts on this? - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 08:47, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Star Wars Action Figures

Did you have to delete my Star Wars Action Figures Page, just while I was editing it? I was right in the middle, getting information from the Hasbro section on Wookieepedia and the ones I own, saving so I didn't accidently lose my work. I didn't realise there was a Merchendise Wiki. Problem reports

Hi there, did you know that some of the users of this wiki have reported some problems? You can view them at Special:ProblemReports. Its a great system for users to mark pages with various types of problems to bring them to the attention of admins (like you). Often they are about the subject of the wiki, and only someone from the wiki can make the knowledgeable decision on how to fix the page.

Its a fairly simple system to use. You can click the magnify glass icon to show the reported problem for each ticket. The icons on the right change the status of the report. The green check mark icon is for "Fixed", you use this if you read the report, and changed something on the page to fix the reported problem, (or deleted it, if its a vandal/spam report), or anything that "Fixes" the problem. The red X icon is for "closed", this is for reports that are false/jokes, or things that are not really a problem. The yellow triangle will mark a report for need help by Wikia Staff, it is used when there is something wrong with the wiki that you cannot fix here with editing pages, such as menus not working, or skin problems, or anything beyond your control. Use it sparingly, as there are many wikis, and our time is limited, but dont be afraid to use it either, we dont want you to have a broken wiki for too long. The last icon is for returning a report back to an open or 'Pending' state if you accidentally used one of the first 3 icons.

If you are using the Monaco skin, there is a ProblemReport widget you can add to your sidebar, so you can see as soon as problems are reported. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask on my talk page, I'll be glad to help you help your wiki. --Uberfuzzy 23:01, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

The new Triage system

After the Inquisitorius' most recent meeting, it was decided to enact a triage system for dealing with the large number of nominations on the FAN page. The Triage page has been set up in the Inquisitorius forum to make it easier for Inqs to see what nominations are best focused on for clearing out the nomination page. This is a tool for helping Inqs combine their efforts on articles, and shouldn't be taken as mandatory; as usual, any Inq is free to review any article they want. - Lord Hydronium 03:18, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Leafar

Thanks for the details on the Leafar you provided the other day. I've written up their article, but there are a couple of details from the mission I'd like to check with you if that's ok. Using the Wook as a source, I've mentioned the Yavin Express and the Cargo-Go in the article. Are both of these groups of ships? If so, is there a standard number of ships, ie 5 corvettes and 3 bulk freighters? Is there any info on what the freighters are carrying? I think in other missions this info is sometimes available. I'm also curious about the order of the battle. I presume the Badi Dea launches fighters. Is this correct? Finally, is there any chance you could get a picture from the battle I could include in the article? Thanks for any of this. I'll likely see you in IRC some time, but thought I'd ask here anyway. --Eyrezer 03:42, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Here's some notes:
    • The Official Strategy Guide doesn't actually have the mission briefings in it. The ones I gave you the other day were taken from the game files using the AlliED mission editor. The walkthroughs are presented as Farlander's mission report so the order of events below is based on a combination of that and the times specified in the mission files.
    • Farlander leads the X-wing group.
    • When the X-wings come out of hyperspace, the Badi Dea is already in the system and has launched two pairs of TIE Advanced and two groups of four TIE Bombers. Additional waves of both launch from the Star Destroyer as they are destroyed.
    • The Leafar ships arrive shortly after. The convoy consists of three groups of ships, but they come in waves so only one of each group is in the system at a time, with the next one entering after the previous one leaves. Yavin Express consists of five CR90 corvettes. Cargo-go group consists of three BFF-1 bulk freighters. Lambda group consists of seven Lambda-class shuttles. When you fly past in the game they all show cargo as "none" but when you open the files in AlliED, Yavin Express says "passengers", Cargo-Go says "goods" and Lambda says "business".
    • Farlander leaves his wingmen to fight the TIE Advanced while he goes after the TIE Bombers, which are the greater threat to the convoy.
    • Farlander's group fights the TIEs but there are soon only two of the X-wings left.
    • The arrival of A-wing group Gold is set as 7 minutes after the player's X-wing is first attacked. The Whitehawk and the Maria arrive 13 minutes after that. I guess you could avoid them coming at all if you were good enough but The Official Strategy Guide has the capital ships arrive just as Farlander finishes the last wave of TIE Bombers and moves on to the TIE Advanced. X-wing group Gold and A-wing group Blue launch at this time.
    • Once the mission is complete, Farlander has four torpedoes left and decides to launch them at the Star Destroyer's shield generators and try to finish it off with lasers. The Imperials don't much like this and launch some more TIE Bombers. Concluding that it probably wasn't the best idea he ever had, Farlander jumps to hyperspace.
    • The mission is complete if at least three corvettes, two freighters and four shuttles escape to hyperspace.
    • Picture to follow. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:17, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
      • Thanks for all the help with this, and reviewing the article. I see I misinterpreted the nature of the waves. Cheers, --Eyrezer 23:08, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
