Welcome, Darthjack!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Please do not remove talk page and forum comments, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask one of our administrators. May the Force be with you! |
Hey
If you need help with a signature or anything pertaining to coding, let me know. I might be able to help you.—B-Boba Fett! Bounties collected 20px 00:48, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Signatures are so that the person you're talking to knows who it is. You add your signature by putting four squigglies (~~~~) at the end of your message.
For Userboxes, this is the coding (just replace your text with the capitalized letters):

For images, you put :File: and then the name of the file (make sure to put the file type (.jpg, .png, etc)). Then you add the brackets at the end. Like this:
100px (resized due to space it took up)
To make it smaller, we put |50px (50 pixels in height) right before the end brackets.
50px
Let me know if you have any more questions.—B-Boba Fett! Bounties collected 20px 20:29, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Images and previews
Hey there, I saw you were having trouble adding an image to your user page. You can only add images that have been uploaded properly to Wookieepedia. To add an image (such as :File:News ep3 clonetrooper1.jpg) to an infobox, simply put 250px in the |image= field of the infobox. 250px is the standard size used in the infobox.
Also, make sure to use the preview button rather than making lots of edits at once. Your userpage is not your primary contribution to the wiki. Thanks, Nayayen—TALK 11:13, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Just so you know, you will need to add the correct license to File:Clonetrooper-1-.jpg or it may be deleted. Nayayen—TALK 11:41, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Content box
The best way to figure out how someone has done something is to copy the code they're using and experiment with it. Just make sure to use the "preview" button in your experiments, so you don't unnecessarily fill the Recent Changes page with them. jSarek 23:00, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
Editing
Hey there. I just wanted to let you know that all of our In-Universe articles are written in the past tense. That is the reason your articles have been reverted. I suggest you take a look at the Manual of Style to get some tips on editing. You can also click on any of the links at the top of this page, under the "Contributions help" section, for other articles that will explain our policies. Thanks.
