Welcome, Darth Revan The Weirdo!

Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers: right|180px

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic 21:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Your usertalk page

  • Generally, it's not well-accepted to take someone's talk page and "attempt" to make it your own - especially when you leave the incriminating evidence that proves it's not yours. (Check the top bar; it clearly shows that the template for this talk page was created, or at least taken, from Goodwood.) I suggest talking with him to get clearance for the heisting, or simply take it down. That is all. JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic 21:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
    • That, in and of itself, is fine; however, there are other ways of doing it. A simple "Please note that whatever you post here will be responded to here" will suffice. I assume you're familiar with wiki formatting? You did say you came from Wikipedia. JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic 21:50, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Your article creations

  • Don't go around making articles like Chief Staff or Personal Protection Suit, with the only content as stub. It is not helpful, and can actually be detrimental. If you feel the articles should be created, and you have a canon source, use Wookieepedia:Article requests. JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic 21:47, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Signature

Don't forget to sign all posts you make in the Talk, User talk, Forum, and Wookieepedia namespaces with ~~~~. JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic 21:53, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Picture

Sure you can. It's not my picture. It was the site before I was. Just don't do anything to break Wookiepedia's User Image Policy. --Michaeldsuarez 10px (Activate Holocron) 02:14, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Insider articles

Please do not create articles for products which have not yet been confirmed. Also, please don't use "is" when referring to something which has yet to be released. And please categorize your articles, and include some useful content. Thank you very much. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:18, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Hmmm, I didn't realize they were in the Insider template. They probably shouldn't be, though. I don't know... -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:26, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

RE: Signature

Sure thing! I can help you with that. If you don't mind, I'll have more time tomorrow in the morning, and I can further explain/show you how to create a customized one of your own.

Tommy(Clean face and hands)The Anvil 00:50, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Basically all you have to do is check "Raw signature" and then use wiki markup to do whatever you want. It looks like Tommy will be willing to answer any specific questions you may have. – Aidje talk 05:27, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
    • Silly me. I see now that Atarumaster already gave a more detailed response. – Aidje talk 05:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Useless stubs

Seriously, STOP IT. Create one more stub that doesn't have proper sourcing and formatting and doesn't do more than state what's in the sentence it's linked from and I will block you. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 01:15, 24 May 2008 (UTC) Sorry, I just wanted to help the community, geez. --The Darth Revan 01:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Signatures

  • Sure, that sounds like it'd be okay to me. What you'll need to do is go to "My preferences" and check the "raw signature" option on the user profile tab. Then place your code into the form. An example of what you might want is
Darth Revan Dark lord of the Sith ~~~~~

To be safe, though, you should check the Signature policy to make sure whatever you make conforms to it; failure to do so will have consequences. Cheers, and welcome. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 02:30, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I see Ataru's taken care of the signature stuff, but please note you can only have two links in your sig; one to your userpage and one to something else (talk page or contribs). Special:Wantedpages is what you're looking for, but I implore you not to make any articles on things you (a) cannot source or (b) know nothing about. I know your intention might be to help out the wiki, but sometimes your contributions cause more harm than good. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 11:28, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Bolded article headers

Please don't add extra brackets or italics to article headers. The brackets serve no purpose but to slow down the servers, since pointing a link to the page that it is on results in bolding, and thus they only bold that which is already bolded; and italics should only be added in circumstances when italics are called for, such as ship names and the titles of works. jSarek 00:35, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
