Wookieepedia is the Star Wars encyclopedia that anyone can edit, but we are not a general Star Wars forum nor an all-inclusive trivia site.
In-universe articles are written in past tense and from a neutral point of view. Our Manual of Style and Layout Guide form the basis for writing on Wookieepedia.
All additions to Wookieepedia must be sourced and attributed to a reliable, official source. Fanfiction is welcome on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki.
As a registered Wookieepedia user, you are entitled to a user page and a unique signature. Eventually you will also gain the right to vote on community matters.
Remember to be nice to your fellow Wookieepedians. Avoid making personal attacks and engaging in edit wars. Using multiple accounts is not allowed.
Talk pages and forums are part of the public record and comments on them, including your own user talk page, should be left intact. Remember to sign your comments by typing four tildes, like this: ~~~~

Hello! Thanks for trying to reach out about this. You see, Wookieepedia works on the basis of information verifiability through thorough sourcing and attribution, so anything added to its articles must be referenced accordingly. In case of universe dates, it's even more complicated, because we need to justify the reasoning behind why we associate an event with a year. For SWTOR dates, we need to cite the forum posts by the SWTOR writers that explain the chronology of the game and its expansions. You can see examples of this on this article. We also have rules about the introduction of an article: it should not be referenced, only because the information in that section should always be included in the body of the article itself in details and with full referencing. Finally, you'll notice that the Exchange article does not respect both of those rules, as is often the case with older articles that saw little editing, and thus show little in the way of proper referencing, but that not a reason to continue in the wrong direction ;) . If you need further help, please, don't hesitate to ask me. You might also find the "Welcome" message helpful to understand better how things work here. Sorry for the late response, I was quite busy in recent days. Anyway, if you want to communicate better with other editors, you can always join our Discord server. I'm sorry you fell that way, and I know it can be hard for starting editors. If I can provide some advice, whenever someone revert you and dont provide an explanation (or that the explanation is lacking), you're welcome to reach them out to ask for some context.
