Re: Hi there
Hey. The template wasn't added because there was an issue with proof, though the quote on it is certainly misleading in that way, but because I'm unsure if the site meets Wookieepedia's notability requirements. Not every fansite is notable enough for a Wookieepedia article, though I'm not sure if your site does. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:36, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi there
Oh ok, I got it. I just looked through the guidelines, here is a listing and hopefully this will make it easier for you whether to delete the listing or not:
1, Content -> steadily growing, still moving content from the old site, currently over 500 images of action figures, plus images from local collector group meetings. The old site had over 6,000 images of figures, but it will take a while to move everything over into the new format
2, Longevity -> the site's been up since 2004, but has gone through many stages, with the current back-end set up being final
3, Media Coverage -> no media coverage (and not planning on it, unless some sort of charity event comes around that would be fitting)
4, Domain name -> registered through GoDaddy, set up date Feb 2004 (please look at GoDaddy's who is record)
5, Message Board -> No message board on the site, and not planning on it, yet.
6, Number of articles -> only one article/listing is needed for Jedi Business
7, Webmasters -> (didn't quite understand this part?, I don't need my own article if that's what that is?)
8, List Of fan sites -> I don't think that's the right place for Jedi-Business as it's not a geocity hosted site or anything like that. I think it's more in sync with sites like Galactichunter or JediDefender, on a smaller scale, without being news-oriented, but with a very strong focus on the star wars action figure collector, while also serving the local Seattle area community by supporting/announcing/reporting about any kind of Star Wars related local events.
Hopefully this will convince you to keep the article up (I'll work on the wookiefied version of it of course if you want me to). Please let me know if you still have any questions and if you decide to keep it up or take it down. Thank you!
- I raised the issue in the IRC channel to see what others think, but I'd be content enough for the moment if you'd like to remove the template from the article. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:24, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Let's just leave it the way it is for now until you've come to a conclusion. If you all are ok with the entry I'll work on the wookieefied version of it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
removed template
Removed template for now, until I hear otherwise.
- Yes, I saw the rationale on your talk page and removed the template. IFYLOFD (And now, young Skywalker, you will die.) 18:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
