Welcome, Colby James!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH 00:37, December 26, 2011 (UTC) |

The site's policies
Based on your comments on Talk:Hardcase, I would highly encourage you to read up on what fanon is, versus canon. Wookieepedia is dedicated to incorporating only official information, not doing things like making up clone designations. Please take some time to become familiar with all of Wookieepedia's policies before continuing to contribute. Your cooperation is appreciated. CC7567 (talk) 03:54, April 18, 2015 (UTC)
Canon pages
Hey. Since you've left a few talk page messages about how certain characters are canon, I figured I'd answer your questions here at once in a centralized place.
You are correct that all of those characters are in the films. However, Wookieepedia's canon policy says that subjects that received names in Legends sources (like these characters) may only be given a canon page if the names of those subjects are also given in canonical sources. That means that certain background characters who appeared in the films might not be eligible for canon pages if we don't canonically know what their names are.
If there is a canon source that provides the names of those characters, a page can certainly be created. If not, we have to wait until either the names are given in canon sources or the wiki's canon policy is altered to allow for the creation of those pages.
I hope that answers your questions! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 03:31, August 14, 2016 (UTC)
