Darth Ocean here wanting the Darth ocean page deleted

  • Hi there, it's Darth Ocean (capital and real one) here, confirming that I do want this Darth ocean (no capital) page deleted. It was only after completing the user page that I noticed it was a small o, and that annoyed me every time I looked at it. Thanks, Samuel B. Shaw = shore = ocean. Darth Ocean (capital)! Where have you been?

  • Where have you been? Other people have had to update FA and IDrive pages! *gasp* Not to mention poor Wedge Antilles. "I'll work on him before Allegiance comes out." Uh huh. Don't tell me you're so disappointed about 100-82! Gig 'em. :-P Well, whatever you're doing, I hope you're doing well, and hopefully we'll hear from ya soon! • Hey dude... It's a long story. I'll catch you on IM sometime soon and explain! But I should be around more frequently over the next weeks. :) - breathesgelatinTalk 18:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Delete

Hi. Since you are an administrator. Could you please delete a few of my pages that I don't use anymore. And I don't think anyone uses anymore. Thanks User:Steinninn/travel --Steinninn 20:29, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Referencing

Hi Breathes! You said at the Mofference that you'd like to help with the sourcing proposal/policy. Well, I finally got around to writing it - Wookieepedia:Sourcing. Feel free to tweak it in any way (even though it says not to, for other users :P). —Xwing328(Talk) 05:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Inq meeting

  • The PTB (me, Culator, Xwing, Cull, Fourdot, Havac, and Lord H3O+) decided that the M.A.L distinction was pointless and that everyone is a full Inquisitor. Consequently, we also changed the rules about how many it takes to approve something. In short: YES!!! Please come and feel free to vote on anything and everything. User page help?

Hi there, I was looking around and noticed that your user page has the same format problem as mine does. Right underneath our respective pictures, our names no longer appear where they used to. I've noticed it on a couple other user pages as well, and I was wondering if there was any way to fix this? Would it be possible if you could point me to the right person or whatnot? Thanks for your time, Humbone 15:07, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Ah...yeah, I remember that stuff now. My perception of her was definitely affected a lot by the X-wing comics, like you said - all that nitty-gritty underground "Targeter" stuff. As for being back, I've been poking around for a month or two now, but yeah; I'm on the cusp of leaving TFN, so I want to start being more involved over here. I'm paying a lot of attention to the Inq and CT stuff, and I'm working on a big BoShek redo. Thanks for the, um...re-welcome. Coop 05:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

this isn't anything to do with Wookieepedia, but here goes. you say on your user page that you recently 'came out of the closet about being a star wars geek to your friends'. i'm in the irish equivelant of high school, and none of my friends (or ememies) know that i love star wars so much. just wondering how your friends reacted to the news. AdmirableAckbar 18:51, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Honestly? They think it's hilarious. I get made fun of a lot (but it's all good natured). I'm happy people know. - breathesgelatinTalk 04:06, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Inq

Hey Breathesgelatin. I was wondering, if you get a few spare moments, could you take a look over Dace Diath and let me know if there's anything that you think needs to be done? Thanks for your time. Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 03:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

  • Thank you for the heads-up. I plan to look over all the current Inq articles over the course of the next few days. - breathesgelatinTalk 04:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Forum:Jack Nebulax

While, I think you make a good point in your comments about Jack, couldn't it have been done without name-calling? Please edit. Thanks. WhiteBoy 14:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

  • No, I don't think it could have been. The "don't be a dick" principle is a guiding principle of all wikis and one I believe in. I think I make a point by using it. As the metawiki page points out, the strength of the term lies in the fact that it is somewhat offputting (though less offensive than other possiblities, as discussed in the entry). Please note that I have linked to this metawiki entry in my profile for ages and I have never used this term before. I do not see this as abuse but pointing out a guiding principle. I don't think I'm heaping abuse on Jack. My interactions with him, have for the most part been civil and I think I am one of the more civil users on the Wookiee. Sorry, I will not self-censor in this case. - breathesgelatinTalk 23:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Inq meeting

Hi Breathes! As you may have heard, there's (hopefully!) an Inq meeting tomorrow. But so far we have only a handful of confirmed attendees. Here's the relevant page. We're looking to expand our ranks, among other things. Let us know whether or not you can make it. Thanks! Gonk (Gonk!) 14:38, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to thank you all for the friendship, guidance, and support you've given me in the past year. Were it not for people like you, Wookieepedia would not be the success it has become. Keep up the good work! -- Graestan(Talk) 18:54, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Swarm War

Hello, Breathesgelatin. Do you know/do you know somebody, that knows anything about the Swarm War? Because someone needs to create an article on the First Battle of Qoribu. Also, could you please go over the Revanchist (faction) article and vote on its talk page on whether or not its title should be changed? Thanks. Please leave me a message on my talk page.--Jedi Kasra 01:11, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Looking for input regarding video-wikis on Wookieepedia

Hi, As you may have heard, in the next few days there will be a new collaborative video feature on Wookieepedia. The feature is based on technology created by Kaltura, where I work. We’re really excited to have our technology on Wookieepedia and are hoping that it can be a great tool for the Wookieepedia community. I am contacting you and a few other administrators hoping that you can tell me where you think collaborative videos might fit in within Wookieepedia. We have a few people that are great with rich-media, and that are active in the community and would like to get a few videos rolling as soon as the feature goes live. For example – what pages do you think could benefit from a collaborative video that any user can add, edit and remix? Are there 5-10 top pages/topics that you think could be cool to add videos to? Any specific ideas of the kind of videos the community would like? Maybe a tribute to a certain character, or possibly a video that talks about why people joined Wookieepedia, etc. Any input you could provide would be excellent, we’re hoping that the Wookieepedians get familiar with the collaborative video feature and enjoy it. Thank you! Lishkee 14:14, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Mailing list

Hey, Breathes. I've set up a private administrator mailing list to help coordinate the current administrators of the site, and I am attempting to contact each administrator to get them to subscribe. You can subscribe here. My point with setting up this mailing list to get all of the administrators of Wookieepedia operating on the same page, and in a more unified fashion. Regardless of any personal differences that may exist between some members, I still feel that it is important that we are all operating on the same level, with regards to knowledge of the site, and new/upcoming stuff that is going to happen—so, basically, this is an attempt to coordinate us all in an effort to help keep us on the same page with regards to new policies, new ideas, announcements, discussions, etc. In my opinion, we're all on the same team and this will only help us to be a more organized and cohesive working unit—even more so than we currently are. I've already spoken with a few admins via IRC, and they have liked my point of this whole thing, and have thus signed up—I would really appreciate it you could do likewise :) Any questions about this, you know where you can reach me. Cheers, Greyman Jan.png (Talk) 16:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Not sure if you've had time to sign up, but most other admins have subscribed to the list. If you have subscribed, but haven't received a response from me, please email me with the address you want to use, and I will add it manually to the admin mailing list. There have been one or two instances with other admin's email addresses where I've had to do this. Cheers, Greyman Jan.png (Talk) 04:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Warning

Hello, Breathesgelatin. As you may or may not know, I am an administrator of this website. I'm here to let you know that your last edit was October 4; more than five months ago. Per the results of our last Mofference, admins who have been absent for five months will be notified, and informed that removal of adminship will occur after six months of no activity (being in IRC does not count as activity). Thank you for your cooperation. Oh, I would normally email this to you, but you seem to have not entered an email address in your preferences, as the "email this user" function turns up an error message. My apologies if this comes across as overly harsh. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:59, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Regardless of any sudden edits before April 4th, I would advise you to step down as an admin, Breathesgelatin. You're cutting it awfully close here. --Imperialles 08:24, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
    • A request for removal of admin status has been delivered to Wikia staff. --Imperialles 10:37, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
      • Oh dear. I am not sure why my email is not working. I thought I did have correct contact information up. Obviously I missed all these messages as revealed by my recent email to the administrators' listserv. Anyway, it was probably appropriate for me to be removed. I had for some months (pretty much since the birth of my baby in December) intended to resign and never got around to it. Chack, you did not come across poorly as all. Thanks for the ride, folks. - breathesgelatinTalk 04:00, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Removal of adminship

In accordance with our policies, I have removed your admin rights on Wookieepedia. --Imperialles 15:09, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
