Voting
I'm really sorry to do this, but to vote in things like Quote of the Day, you need at least 50 main namespace edits, per the Single issue voters decision. I think you can still nominate quotes and make commments, but you're not allowed to vote. -LtNOWIS 18:04, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think Han said it all when he said 'I'm sorry too.'
My first ever talk comment is telling me, metaphorically speaking, to go back and clean the virtual toilets. Thanks ever so.
Quote of the Day eligibility decision
Message for Quote of the Day voters: beginning August 1, 2007, Quote of the Day will be implementing a decision that was voted on several months ago and recently brought to my attention. From that day forward, voters will need at least 50 edits to mainspace articles (meaning actual content articles) to have their votes counted. My review of QOTD history has identified you as a recurrent voter without the prerequisite mainspace edits. Although I personally find the above-mentioned decision too strict, I will be complying. Here's how the decision will be implemented:
- None of your votes cast prior to August 1 will be affected in any way.
- Any votes cast after August 1 will be
crossed outand not counted, unless your account registers at least 50 mainspace edits. - As soon as your account registers 50 mainspace edits, all of your votes will be retroactively included; any crossed out votes will be un-struck.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you continue to participate. In order to make article edits, any change, even a minor one, counts. You can spell-check, make formatting corrections, add sources, or make minor expansions. Large expansions and adding new canon articles is also appreciated. Enochf 15:57, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hope this doesn't chase you off the site. If you'll notice the voting in the decision, my idea was to have a requirement of 25 mainspace edits, which I think is more reasonable and is coincidentally what you have right now. But if you happen to have any obscure Star Wars paraphernalia, RPG supplements, an old Droids or Ewok book that has information not yet included in the 'pedia, that would be appreciated. It doesn't have to be drudgery or toilet-work editing. (Although spell-checking is probably the quickest, easiest way to get to 50 edits.) Enochf 16:03, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Nice try, but I have nothing to contribute except spellcheck. I have no money, and therefore no new resources. I never thought lack of money would mean anything here of all places, but there you are.
Back to latrine duty.
