Trouble on Tantiss
The SHIPNAME and two Venator-class Star Destroyers arrive over Wayland.
Around 18 BBY,[2] Clone Force 99, a group of renegade, special forces clone troopers, infiltrated the Empire's Tantiss Base on[1] the Outer Rim Territories[3] planet[4] Wayland in an attempt to rescue a member of their group, Omega. During the rescue attempt, the group destroyed much of the base,[3] additionally freeing the base's clone prisoners; releasing a Zillo Beast; and killing many Imperials stationed on Tantiss, including the base's Chief Scientist, Royce Hemlock. Following Clone Force 99's subsequent escape, Tarkin traveled to Wayland aboard the SHIPNAME, along with two Venator-class Star Destroyers. After arriving through hyperspace, the three Star Destroyers hovered above the base and deployed multiple Rho-class transport shuttles to the damaged facility. After arriving at the ruined base, Tarkin informed[1] Captain Bragg[5] that since none of Hemlock's research could be salvaged, funding to the Tantiss Base would be redistributed to Project Stardust,[1] the Imperial operation concerned with research and construction of the Death Star battle station.[6] The Tantiss Base was subsequently abandoned.[3]

Star Wars: The Bad Batch — "The Cavalry Has Arrived"
- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least twenty-one standard days following her capture as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to
"Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega spends about 164 further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY.
