Description

Major Elrik Vonreg's TIE Interceptor was painted red and grey to match the major's crimson armour, which he earned from his exceptional piloting skills. The interceptor had signficant improvements compared to the interceptors of the Galactic Empire, including the addition of a hyperdrive.[4]

History

Behind the scenes

Elrik Vonreg's TIE Interceptor first appeared in part one of the two-part episode "The Recruit,"[2] the first episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 7, 2018.[11]

The interceptor was first identified as "Vonreg's ship" in its premiere episode's accompanying Bucket's List[12] as well as the accompanying "Bucket's List Extra." The video and article were both posted October 8, 2018.[13][12] It was then identified with a multitude of names including: Vonreg's TIE interceptor,[14] Vonreg's crimson TIE interceptor,[15] Vonreg's TIE,[16] Vonreg's TIE Fighter,[17] Vonreg's TIE Baron,[18] Vonreg's First Order TIE interceptor,[19] Vonreg's TIE Interceptor,[20] and Vonreg's First Order TIE fighter.[21] It was finally identify as "Elrik Vonreg's TIE Interceptor"
