Unit 437 was a B1-series battle droid member of MT-7's unit. After a storm separated the crew during its mission on Akiva, 437 made a difficult journey to the Blood Tree. There, 437 surveilled the activity of enemy insurgents. Though aware that the positions of his unit would inevitably be compromised, 437 remained determined that the group succeeded.[2]
Over twenty years later, in 3 ABY,[5] a scoundrel named Kay Vess met the still active yet immobilized MT-7 in an abandoned hideout in the Karaba Foothills on Akiva. After impersonating a member of CIS Special Operations, MT-7 request that Vess help locate his men. Vess eventually made her way a cave south west of the Blood Tree and found the remains of 437 as well as the droid's final report.[2]
