Unit 416 was a B1-series battle droid member of MT-7's unit while it was deployed to Akiva, a jungle planet in the Outer Rim, during the Clone Wars. During the war, at the onset of the monsoon season the unit was split and deployed to the field. Unit 416 eventually made it to the separatist's northern base, west of Sashin, where they placed detonators around the base to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. However the monsoon has damaged their actuators and Unit 416 was destroyed in the blast.[2]
Over twenty years later, in 3 ABY,[5] a scoundrel named Kay Vess met the still active yet immobilized MT-7 in an abandoned hideout in the Karaba Foothills on Akiva. After impersonating a member of CIS Special Operations, MT-7 request that Vess help locate his men. Vess eventually made her way to the ruins of the northern base and found Unit 416's remains and their last data entry.[2]
