- "While I was waitin' for the repairs, I ventured into a nearby waterin' hole to get myself a bit more familiar with the local cuisine. After a few hours tradin' recipes with the joint's Mon Calamari chef, he told me about a special crab-stuffed puff that his people made to celebrate Life Day."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Life Day Cookbook
A waterin' hole was located on the[1] planet[2] Mon Cala. Sometime before 34 ABY,[3] the Mon Calamari chef who worked at the location gave the visiting Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs a recipe for Crab Puffs, a puff pastry stuffed with living crabs which were eaten by the Mon Calamarians in order to celebrate Life Day.[1]
