- "The view is breathtaking! Someone told me we might even make a stop at Starlight Beacon. Not bad for a techie from Pastoria!"
- ―The technician, in a computer message
An individual from the planet Pastoria served as a technician aboard the cruiser Castellan during the High Republic Era. By 230 BBY, during their third month working aboard the Castellan, they left a message on a computer in which they recounted a time they replaced a console on the cruiser's bridge and mentioned the possibility of the ship stopping at the Starlight Beacon space station. After the Castellan was attacked by a Nihil fleet, the technician left a log entry on another computer in which they hoped the ship's passengers would be able to escape. The cruiser eventually crashed on the moon Toshara, shortly after which its crew was evacuated.

A technician from[1] the planet[2] Pastoria served aboard the cruiser Castellan during the High Republic Era. Although members of the ship's maintenance crew were not usually allowed aboard its bridge, the technician was allowed on it to replace a console. At another point, an individual informed the technician the Castellan might stop at the Starlight Beacon[1] space station.[2] By 230 BBY,[3] during their third month working aboard the Castellan, the technician left a message on a computer in which they recounted their time on the bridge and described the view as "breathtaking". They went on to express excitement at the possibility of stopping at Starlight Beacon, describing their experience as "not bad" for a technician from Pastoria.[1]
The Castellan was later attacked by a fleet of Nihil ships and began rapidly leaking fuel. It managed to jump to hyperspace, although the technician did not know where it was heading. As the ship's passengers headed for its escape pods, the technician left a log entry on a computer in which they mentioned the attack and hoped the Castellan would hold together long enough for the passengers to escape. The cruiser eventually crashed on the moon Toshara, and its crew was evacuated shortly after.[1]
In 3 ABY,[4] while the thief Kay Vess was searching the Castellan's wreckage for a nav computer, she accessed the computers the technician had left their messages on and read them.[1]
