This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

A language known as the Empire's tongue was spoken in the feudal Empire that ruled the galaxy. It was spoken on the Outer Rim Territories planet Genbara by a shopkeep and by the warrior known as the Ronin.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Empire's tongue first appeared in "The Duel," the first episode of the 2021 television show Star Wars Visions, in which it was originally represented in Japanese and English.[2]
