- "Ah, my data spike."
"Yeah, and it's broken. Some scarp-rat was selling it in the square. Says he found it in Sixth Kin turf." - ―Kay Vess learning about the scrap-rat from Bram Shano
A scarp-rat and scavenger resided in the city Canto Bight on the Outer Rim planet Cantonica[1] in 3 ABY. That year,[2] he found a data spike belonging to the thief Kay Vess in the territory of the local Sixth Kin criminal organization and later tried to sell it in the Canto Bight's South Stretch Worker's District. The Zabrak bartender Bram Shano later noticed the individual selling the then broken spike and recovered it for Vess, who lived in the attic of his bar, the Broken Hoof. Shano later gave the data spike back to Vess and told her where he found it.[1]
