- "I'll try to get back to you one way or the other; but if you haven't heard from me in about twenty-eight hours, don't expect to."
"All right. I suppose it's better than nothing. You can leave any messages with the night bartender at the Dona Laza tapcafe." - ―Aves and Wedge Antilles
This unidentified planet was located in the Dona Laza sector of the Expansion Region,[3][1] at a distance of approximately twenty-eight hours of hyperspace travel away from Tangrene.[4] It hosted the Dona Laza tapcafe and the Mumbri Storve cantina.[5]
History
Thrawn campaign
- "If we leave now, we should get to Tangrene just about on time for the big battle."
"Let's just hope he's planning to sell that information to the Empire. It'd be a shame to have wasted the whole evening."
"He'll sell all right. He's a smuggler. What else could he want it for?" - ―Wedge Antilles, Wes Janson and Derek Klivian

During the Thrawn campaign of 9 ABY, the New Republic pilots Wedge Antilles, Derek Klivian and Wes Janson went to this planet just prior to the Battle of Bilbringi. They spent an hour at the Mumbri Storve cantina in an attempt to drop a hint that the New Republic would be attacking Tangrene instead of Bilbringi. They were successful at first, as they were being followed by a Walrus-faced Aqualish spy. However, they were intercepted on their way out by Aves, a member of Talon Karrde's smuggling organization. Aves and two of his men then neutralized the freelance Imperial spy by knocking him unconscious.[5]
Wes Janson, Derek Klivian, Wedge Antilles and Aves on the planet
Aves assured Antilles that the Aqualish freelancer would not be making any reports anytime soon for the Imperial Intelligence. As a result, their evening spent spreading disinformation seemed entirely wasted. In order to accomplish their objective anyway, Antilles dropped Aves a hint that the New Republic would be attacking Tangrene in twenty-eight hours, in the possibility that the smuggler would sell the information to the Empire. The Rogue Squadron pilots and the group of smugglers then parted ways, with Aves telling Antilles that any messages left with the night bartender at the Dona Laza tapcafe would reach him.[5]
Following the encounter, Aves and his men left the scene aboard a landspeeder, taking with them the still-unconscious Aqualish spy.[4]
Caamas Document Crisis
- "Popular place tonight."
"It's their turn at the floating Boga Minawk tournament. You wouldn't believe how crazy they go for the game around here." - ―Shada D'ukal and Mazzic
During the Caamas Document Crisis of 19 ABY, the smuggler Mazzic, along with Shada D'ukal, Griv and Cromf, went to the Dona Laza tapcafe in order to catch Lak Jit, an information broker who was selling information on a Bothan involvement in the destruction of Caamas.[6]
At the time, the establishment was frequented by a large number of Boga Minawk enthusiasts.[6]

Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Dona Laza tapcafe in relation to the Dona Laza system.
