"You know what they say about something that sounds too good to be true."
"Ah, we have a skeptic! Perhaps you need the solution of Loth-Cat dexterity? How about the booster of wampa strength?"
"I've seen scams like this before. Let me guess, it's just zoochberry juice and some coloring in the vial."
"Would you keep it down?"

A merchant claiming to sell serums, tonics, and miracle cures operated a stall in the Wonto District market in the city of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine in 3 ABY. Their stock included the solution of Loth-Cat dexterity and the booster of wampa strength, although both were in actuality just bacta in a vial. When the thief Kay Vess was skeptical of the merchant's products and threatened to inform the criminal Hutt Cartel of the scam, the merchant gave her a free sample in exchange for her silence.

Biography

"Who are you, the trade goods inspector?"
"No, but I'm sure the Hutts wouldn't appreciate you running a con in their market. Especially when they aren't getting a cut."
"How about this, I'll let you take one. Call it a free sample. And then you keep your 'outlandish theories' to yourself?"

In 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess approached the merchant and suggested that their products were too good to be true. Keen to convince the skeptic, the merchant offered to sell them the solution or the booster, but when Vess guessed that they were just zoochberry juice in a vial, the merchant asked her to keep her voice down. When the thief brought up how the criminal Hutt Cartel might feel about the cons the merchant was running without paying them a cut of the profits, the con artist offered Vess the solution or booster as a free sample in exchange for her silence.[1]

Later that year, a notice was sent out to merchants in Bestine informing them that the salesman was spotted in the city. It asked them to inform the customers not to engage with the salesman and contact local authorities.[1]
