"You hear about the new T-S Sevens? They'll be out next cycle."

A human[1] male[2] individual was a pilot for the First Order and was stationed on[3] the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Thunderer.[4] In 34 ABY,[5] after the Hosnian Cataclysm, the pilot walked behind a new cadet, DT-533, through the barracks of the Thunderer, informing a fellow pilot that the T-S Seven would release the next cycle. Their colleague in turn expressed their preference for the VE series, believing it to be more powerful. The pilot wore a standard black uniform of First Order pilots.[3]

Behind the scenes

"You seen that new VT-16?"
"Yeah. Some of the other guys were telling me about it."

The pilot appeared in "A Quick Salvage Run,"[3] the second episode of the second season of the television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 13, 2019.[7] They were credited as "TIE Pilot #1" and voiced by Donald Faison.[3] The pilot was initially shown in the trailer previewing "A Quick Salvage Run," which was posted earlier in the week, on October 9, on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.[8]

The conversation between the two pilots concerning T-S Sevens and the VE series[3] resembles an exchange from the first Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which released in 1977. The original dialogue featured two Imperial stormtroopers discussing the new VT-16,[6] a conversation that has been referenced in multiple other Star Wars stories.[9]
