- "Other than one of your temples, there's some luxury rainforest resort deep in the archipelago. My husband wanted to go before all of this…."
- ―Franek, on Palagosal
A luxury rainforest resort was located deep in the Outer Rim planet Palagosal's archipelago during the High Republic Era. The husband of Republic Defense Coalition Lieutenant Franek wanted to visit the resort prior to the Galactic Republic's evacuation of the planet[1] between 230 BBY and 228 BBY. In 228 BBY,[2] Franek mentioned the resort and his husband's hope to visit it when speaking with several Jedi, Republic Defense Coalition personnel, and Republic Senator Rina Greylark about why the Nihil pirates would be drawn to the world.[1]
Behind the scenes
The luxury rainforest resort was mentioned in the 2024 junior novel The High Republic: Beware the Nameless, written by Zoraida Córdova and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ Per the reasoning here, the events of The High Republic: Beware the Nameless, which take place a year and a half after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, must take place in 228 BBY. Beware the Nameless establishes that the Galactic Republic evacuated Palagosal between the novel's events and the Jedi Order's recall to Coruscant, an event Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 230 BBY. Therefore, the evacuation must have occurred between 230 BBY and 228 BBY.
