This species made their first appearance in Return of the Jedi – Lando 1, written by Stephanie Phillips and illustrated by Álvaro López.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the species is known as the Blood Carvers, debuting in Rogue Planet,[3] and first pictured in Ultimate Alien Anthology, a supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[4]
