- "I have come to strike a bargain with the king."
"And what would you have to bargain with?" - ―The mask wearer and the king
A male king supposedly ruled[1] long before the year 29 ABY.[2] The king secretly made a pact with an enemy of his, not wishing for his subjects to know. A mask-wearing man became aware of this, and used his knowledge to blackmail the king into providing him with a title and land.[1]

Notes and references

- ↑ "Buyer Beware" establishes that the king ruled long before events of the story, during which the First Order is publicly known to the galaxy. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the public formation of the First Order to five years after the Starkiller Incident, dated to 34 ABY by Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. As such, the First Order must have been publicly formed in 29 ABY, and the king must have ruled long before that year.
