A terrestrial astronomical object was characterized by a junkyard that covered much of its surface. The junkyard, which included droid components, among other items, was guarded against trespassers by droids. After the droid bounty hunter IG-88 was destroyed by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, his remains were left in the junkyard. The engineer RB-919, hired by the bounty hunter Deva Lompop to repair IG-88, landed their starship on the astronomical object to collect the droid's remains. After destroying the droids that attempted to stop them, RB-919 brought IG-88 aboard their starship and repaired him. IG-88 subsequently killed RB-919 and took their starship for Lompop's mission. The droid bounty hunter failed to complete his objective, however, and was damaged such that he did not need to continue following Lompop's orders. Left questioning his purpose, IG-88 returned aboard RB-919's starship to the astronomical object. After landing and exiting out into the junkyard terrain, IG-88 intended to improve his programming.[1]
