"We saw what you did. You pulled this flute."
―This scavenger confront Rani[1]

This scavenger was a short alien individual who was present on the planet Golak[1] at some point between 18 BBY and 3 BBY.[3] They, alongside another scavenger, were passengers aboard a hovertrain when they witnessed a young girl, Rani, use the Force to grab a flute from her brother Charuk. This scavenger watched over Rani while their companion went to report her to a nearby Imperial stormtrooper, though the siblings escaped their watch before they could be caught, escaping when the train was attacked by Jangori warriors.[1]

Later, this scavenger and their companion made their way to the Golak Mahal, where they watched the siblings once more, before an Imperial Inquisitor arrived searching for the children. These scavengers were caught up in the ensuing chaos, as this Inquisitor engaged in a duel with the Jedi-in-hiding Rugal while a sandstorm raged around them.[1]

  3. "The Bandits of Golak" takes place during the Great Jedi Purge, which ended with the Mission to Malachor per The Odyssey of Star Wars: An Epic Poem. Star Wars: Timelines dates the mission to 3 BBY, this is when the Jedi Purge ended. The short also features TIE/ln space superiority starfighters, which were introduced in 18 BBY per Timelines. Therefore, "The Bandits of Golak" must take place between 18 BBY and 3 BBY.
