An individual founded Lonisa City on the Outer Rim planet Valo sometime decades before 231 BBY. By the time of Valo Republic Fair in 231 BBY, a marble statue of the individual was displayed outside the city's library. On the day of the Republic Fair, the Jedi younglings Kildo, Gavi Takitaken, and Tep Tep, along with their friend Driggit Parse, played around the statue before the city was attacked by the Nihil pirates, who destroyed the statue in their attack.
Biography
The individual was the founder of Lonisa City on Valo (city pictured during the Republic Fair).
Decades before 231 BBY,[1] an individual founded Lonisa City on the Outer Rim planet Valo.[2] By 231 BBY,[3] during the High Republic Era, a marble statue of the founder was displayed in the city outside of the Lonisa City library.[2] That year,[3] three Jedi younglings—Kildo,[2] Gavi Takitaken,[4] and Tep Tep—and their friend Driggit Parse played around the statue, which had a hole in its base. Suddenly, the city was attacked by the Nihil pirates, and the statue was destroyed during the attack.[2]
In 229 BBY,[5] Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram reflected that his Jedi Master, Kunpar Vasivola—who posed as an elderly caretaker of the Valo Temple in Lonisa City during Valo's occupation by the Nihil—was beloved by the citizens of the city, noting that he was much a fixture of Lonisa City as the statue of its founder. Not long later, the three younglings were reunited with Parse—who had joined the Nihil after Valo had been invaded by the pirates and believed her friends had been killed—and the four sat on the library's steps. As they sat, Parse looked out at the city, and she mentally noted that the statues lining the walkway of the library, including the founder's, were nothing but dust as a result of the Nihil's attack.[2]
Behind the scenes
The founder of Lonisa City appeared as a statue in flashbacks in The High Republic: Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[6]

Notes and references
- ↑ According to The High Republic: Escape from Valo, the Valo Temple was constructed by the time Ram Jomaram was a Jedi Initiate and that the temple's construction process lasted decades. During the events of The High Republic: The Rising Storm, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 231 BBY, Jomaram is a Padawan and the Valo Temple's construction is finished. Therefore, the construction process of the temple must have began decades before 231 BBY. As Escape from Valo establishes the Valo Temple is located within Lonisa City, the city must have been founded by the individual by the time the construction began.
