Behind the scenes
King 69 Color by Jake Lunt Davies
This species was first set to appear during the scenes set at Zord's Spa and Bathhouse of the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, but these scenes were cut from the finished version of the film, instead first included in its Blu-ray and digital releases. In these scenes, a member of this species attempts to flee from the bathhouse, but is subsequently flung into the air by Finn and Rose Tico who come crashing through on Fathierback.[3] This species was designed by concept artist Jake Lunt Davies, and it was referred to by the production code "King 69."[4] According to the Keeper of the Holocron, Leland Chee, as of April 1, 2025, this species still did not have a name within the official Holocron continuity database.[5]
