Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A droid bounty hunter attempted to capture R2-D2 and BB-8 for a bounty of 10,000 credits while they were traveling through a desert canyon to a junk shop to purchase a replacement part for the Millennium Falcon. He failed, destroying his speeder in the process, and the two droids paid him for a part of the wreckage, which happened to be exactly what they needed.[2]
