Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A crimson variant of the TIE/IN interceptor was utilized by the Galactic Empire. During the Battle at Amaxine Station, four of these TIE/IN interceptors served as protection for a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle carrying Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine and his Sith apprentice, Darth Vader. The interceptors had the same color as the Emperor's Royal Guard, who, along with death troopers, joined the two Sith Lords in the battle.[2]
