- "We can't hold out much longer, sir. Where's General Skywalker?"
"He'll be here." - ―This clone trooper and Captain Rex, during the Battle of Teth
This clone trooper, a member of Torrent Company, which was part of the 501st Legion, participated in the Battle of Teth in 22 BBY[6] and was killed during the battle.[3]
Biography
- "This is it! Scrap 'em!"
- ―Captain Rex to the clone trooper
In 22 BBY, after the Battle of Christophsis, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, along with Torrent Company, went to the planet Teth to rescue Rotta, Jabba's son, who was being held captive in the B'omarr Monastery.
On the way to the monastery, their gunships were fired upon by battle droids, but they managed to land near the base of the mountain atop which it was located without any casualties. General Skywalker, Commander Tano, Captain Rex and Torrent Company fought against the droids while scaling the ridge of the mountain. They won the battle and rescued Rotta, but Separatist forces attacked them again. The two Jedi, along with R2-D2, took Rotta and went to find a way outside the monastery, while the clones remained at the main entrance to delay the droids.
The battle continued, and Rex and the surviving members of Torrent Company were taken prisoners. When Skywalker contacted Rex, battle droids heard him talking through the captain's comlink and wanted to know what the sound was. Rex told a droid he would show him how his comlink worked, before punching him and taking his blaster to fight against the other droids. The clones started fighting the droids again and, at some point during the battle, Rex and this clone trooper were taking cover behind the leg joint of an AT-TE walker. The trooper told the captain that they couldn't hold out much longer and inquired as to where General Skywalker was, to which the captain replied that he would be there.
Later on, he destroyed a vulture droid and Rex said that that was it and told him to shoot the other droids, before they both jumped from the AT-TE. The two were surrounded by droids, who told them to surrender, to which the captain replied that they outnumbered the droids. A droid began counting his allies before Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, flying his starfighter, took them out. The battle continued as Commander Cody arrived, along with members of the 7th Sky Corps, and the Galactic Republic won. Afterwards, this clone trooper was killed at some point during the fighting.[3]
Personality and traits
The clone trooper was observant, understanding that, being outnumbered by the battle droids, his unit would be defeated without help. He was intelligent and had excellent tactical knowledge, shooting a vulture droid in its leg so it would fall.
Equipment
The clone trooper wore white Phase I clone trooper armor in combat and, after being taken prisoner by the droids and attacking them along with the rest of his company, used an E-5 blaster rifle taken from a droid.[4]
Behind the scenes
The clone trooper first appeared in the 2008 film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He, like all clone troopers in the film, was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.[4] In the novelization of the film, Rex, Coric, Zeer, Attie, Nax, and Del were the only surviving members of Torrent Company by the end of the Battle of Teth.[3] This clone trooper did not appear in the novel and, while it is possible that he was one of the survivors mentioned in it, he was not identified as being one of the survivors. Therefore, it is assumed that he was killed during the battle.
