- "Incredible."
"Quiet, rookie." - ―The clone trooper and Commander Cody
A rookie clone trooper was a member of Ghost Company during the Clone Wars and fought in the Battle of Ryloth in 22 BBY.[2]
Biography
In 22 BBY, during the Battle of Ryloth, gunships were carrying the members of Ghost Company toward Nabat village, so they could liberate it from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Acclamator-class assault ships which brought the gunships to the planet Ryloth pulled back from the battle after they had been targeted by J-1 semi-autonomous proton cannons, destroying these becoming the mission of the company.[2]
After the gunships landed, Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone Commander Cody and the members of Ghost Company began fighting against the battle droids guarding the outer perimeter of the village. They destroyed the droids and General Kenobi told Commander Cody to send his best men to scout ahead. The commander took Waxer, Boil and Wooley with him and they went to scout ahead and, after a while, separated into two groups. Cody and Wooley found the Separatist command center, the proton canons and Twi'lek prisoners the droids were using as leaving shields to protect the guns against Republic attacks. They returned to report this to General Kenobi and, while the latter discussed their strategy with Commander Cody and General Mace Windu, a Viper probe droid was spying on them. Meanwhile, Waxer and Boil encountered Numa and discussed whether to take her with them or leave her where they found her, before following her to make sure she was safe and looking after her.[2]
Shortly afterwards, TX-20, the leader of the Separatist forces in the area, ordered starved Gutkurrs to be released against the Republic forces. They attacked General Kenobi, Commander Cody and the members of Ghost Company and the Jedi Master used a mind trick on the Gutkurrs to lead them away from the clones. As he did so, this clone trooper said that that was incredible and Commander Cody told him to be quiet. General Kenobi led the Gutkurrs to an alley with one-way access and told the clones to shoot a bridge above it. They did so, trapping the Gutkurrs there. Afterwards, Waxer and Boil joined them, along with Numa.[2]
Numa led General Kenobi, Waxer and Boil to the Twi'lek prisoners, while the rest of Ghost Company, including this rookie clone trooper, attacked the droids guarding them to create a diversion so the prisoners could be rescued by the Jedi and the two clones. Commander Cody, the rookie clone trooper and the rest of the company fought against the droids and, at some point during the battle, the commander told them to retreat to prevent casualties since they were outnumbered and attacked by AATs.[2]
General Kenobi, Waxer and Boil destroyed the proton cannons and freed the prisoners who destroyed TX-20 as the Acclamators arrived. The Republic won this battle and, afterwards, the entire Battle of Ryloth after General Windu and his forces, along with Cham Syndulla and the Twi'lek Resistance defeated the Separatist forces in Lessu, the capital of the planet, and General Windu captured the Separatist leader Wat Tambor.[2][4]
