Unidentified bodyguard

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A bodyguard escorted Chandrilan senator Mon Mothma to safety^[1] during her escape from the galactic capital Coruscant after^[2] an associate of^[3] fellow senator Bail Organa informed her that she was to be arrested for treason against the Galactic Empire.^[1] Mothma escaped the planet minutes before the arrival of Imperial Security Bureau agents. She began travelling across star systems to further the Rebel cause^[3] and, several months after her escape, signed the Corellian Treaty^[2] in 2 BBY,^[4] forming the Alliance to Restore the Republic.^[3]

Behind the scenes

The bodyguard was was mentioned in the Star Wars Legends The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide published in 2008 as a supplement to the Saga Edition of the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast.^[1] In the current Star Wars canon, Mon Mothma's escape from Coruscant was portrayed in "Welcome to the Rebellion," the ninth episode of the second season of the Disney+ series Andor,^[5] which debuted on May 6, 2025.^[6] In it, Mothma was escorted out of the Imperial Senate Building by the rebel agent Cassian Jeron Andor, and then taken off-planet by Gold Squadron.^[5]
