An bioluminescent painting was painted by the parents of Neimoidian Royal Guardsman Ketar Nor using bioluminescent oil procured from trees found on Cato Neimoidia's surface. The piece was an ode to hyperspace travel with swirls and dots painted from the oil flashing different hues from black, to brilliant colors, to white. Due to the fame they had made for themselves in their sector, the artists were invited to the Festival of Stars on Coruscant. On their journey to Coruscant, the artists took all precautions to protect the oils used in the painting from the rigors of hyperspace travel and atmospheric re-entry. Upon arriving at the festival, the art's authenticity was brought into question; and the art was not given its own spot to be shown until the third day where it was placed in a quiet corner of the exhibition area. At the end of its first day being shown, the art was vandalized with anti-Neimoidian slurs. Discouraged by the act of prejudice shown towards them, the two artists left the festival early to explore the Galactic Republic using the Republic's hyperlanes. During their sojourn throughout the galaxy, the two artists were killed in a pirate attack while using one of the supposedly secure hyperlanes.[1]
