"How much for this bracelet?"
―The avian[1]

An avian female individual was present in the marketplace of the Sa'ad village Hillia on the planet Metagos[1] in 32 BBY.[2] Accompanied by several children, the avian questioned the vendor about the price of a bracelet. Upon hearing the response, she squawked and flapped, claiming the item was available for cheaper nearby, leading the vendor to lower his price. After one of the avian's children stole several beads, the vendor patiently requested that he return them or else he might go "behind the gates." When her child shrieked and returned the items, the mother glared at the vendor, paid him several coins, and departed. Afterward, Jedi Master Mace Windu, who had witnessed the exchange, nodded at the vendor in support of his patience.[1]

Behind the scenes

The avian individual appeared in flashbacks in the 2024 novel Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss, written by Steven Barnes.[1]
