A mining station was located on an asteroid and was later used by pirates during the Galactic Civil War, who established a base there that consisted of a hangar and landing field.[1] Around 3 ABY,[2] the Rebel Alliance's Seventh Division[3] regrouped at a predetermined rendezvous point[4] nearby. After learning the existence of the pirates, and realizing the threat to the safety of the rendezvous point, the Alliance sent Red Squadron to destroy it.[1]
