A gladiatorial tournament was held annually on the planet Nal Hutta by an eccentric member of the Hutt species. However, for the tournament[1] around 3743 BBY,[2] the Hutt hired the hunter Riegenn Hetuu to acquire a live k'lor'slug queen, a creature from the planet Korriban, for the tournament's gala celebration. When Hetuu arrived on Nal Hutta, both the Hutt and Hetuu were eaten alive by around four hundred k'lor'slugs that the queen had spawned in Hetuu's cargo hold.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Hutt's tournament was mentioned in the Codex entry for k'lor'slugs in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game released by BioWare in 2011.[1]

STAR WARS: The Old Republic - Question ! :) - Page 3 on The Old Republic's official website (backup link) places Star Wars: The Old Republic about ten to twelve years after the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant, which is dated to 3653 BBY by Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia. The Old Republic — The Lost Suns 2 takes place ten years after the treaty, one week after the mission to Nar Shaddaa, and around the time of the SpecForce Incident. Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of the Prologue and Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY. As the Codex entry for k'lor'slugs is acquired on Korriban, a starting planet, and states that the incident with Hetuu occurred "a century ago." As a result, a date of approximately 3743 BBY can be derived using simple math.
