"Knew I shouldn't have swung at that goon, but the urge to dazzle that Trianii debutante was too strong."
―Lando Calrissian notes his regret over trying to impress the debutante[1]

By 10 ABY,[2] a Trianii debutante had encountered the gambler Landonis Calrissian. In an attempt to impress her, Calrissian took a swing at the Esoomian brawler Bumblethunk of the Razzi Syndicate. The brawler proceeded to beat down Calrissian, who then had the book the would become known as the Smuggler's Guide lifted from his person by the Rybet thief "Sticky Fingers." When the book later returned to Calrissian's possession, he added a note saying that he regretted swinging at Bumblethunk, but that the opportunity to impress the debutante had been too good to resist.[1]

Behind the scenes

The debutante was first mentioned in the Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a 2018 reference book written by Daniel Wallace.[1]

  2. The entry mentioning the debutante in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide takes place chronologically prior to an entry written by Tobias Beckett. Solo: A Star Wars Story depicts Beckett's death on Savareen and Solo: A Star Wars Story The Official Guide dates the events on Savareen in the film to nine years after the Proclamation of the New Order. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the proclamation to 19 BBY, meaning Beckett's death must take place in 10 BBY.
