This individual was a Skakoan who was allied with Jul Tambor. They attempted but failed to attack Sabé after she shot Tambor on Brentaal IV.

Biography

This Skakoan was a member of Jul Tambor's nationalist organization based out of the planet Brentaal IV[1] by around 3 ABY.[2] They were present at Jul Tambor's camp when Tambor was confronted by another Skakoan who accused the freedom fighter of possessing ulterior motives. Before this exchange of words could escalate, however, the camp was attacked by members of the Droid Crush Pirates of Bestoon. These droids were quickly dispatched thanks to efforts from the former handmaiden Sabé, who spoke to Tambor briefly before turning a blaster on him and shooting him in the chest.[1]

Taken aback by the events that had just transpired, it was a moment before this Skakoan jumped into action following prompting from one of their compatriots. Unfortunately, before they could even raise a hand, Sabé fired a volley of blasts at their feet causing them to jump back, before they were subsequently knocked down by the engines of the getaway craft operated by the SP-4 ISC crime scene analysis droid ZED-6-7. Sent flying alongside their peers and the spherical assassin droid G-90, the Skakoan cried out in surprise, and as the group rose to their feet, Tambor and who seemed to be his assassin were carried away, leaving the nationalists none-the-wiser about the true goings-on of their corrupted leader.[3]

Personality and traits

Like their allies, this individual was a member of a group of Skakoans fighting to reclaim the planet Skako Minor from a regime loyal to the Galactic Empire, demonstrating a degree of courage.[1] Though they were willing to attack Sabé for what they perceived she had done to their leader, they showcased little in the way of actual combat proficiency, being easily startled and knocked down.[3]

Equipment

This Skakoan was equipped with a rather distinct outfit compared to their peers, donning long, ankle-length black robes featuring a gray stripe down the front, with a pinkish poncho over their arms and torso, as well as another layer of gold on top of that. This single piece covering on top encompassed their shoulders and head, featuring square elements encircling the lower portion, a small point extending from the cranial area, and two small square windows that showed off the Skakoan's eyes, as opposed to the usual goggles worn by the others in the camp. They also sported golden gloves, though carried no weaponry or tools unlike those around them.[1]

This Skakoan first appeared in twnenty-ninth issue of Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020),[1] written by Greg Pak, illustrated by Luke Ross, and published on November 30, 2022 by Marvel Comics.[4] This individual's appearance looks similar to a maquette first presented to George Lucas as a possible design for the Besalisk Dexter Jettster in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[5]
