"Looking to buy a battle droid. For personal security."
"You'll want the DL-2 line. That'll be five hundred credits."
―Kay Vess to droidsmith[1]

A Rodian droidsmith and member of the Hutt Clan that sold droids on Akiva, a jungle planet in the Outer Rim Territories. In 3 ABY,[2] they operated near the Hutt Cartel district in Myrra, the capital city of Akiva. Their inventory included at least one DL-2 line droid. They had green skin and black eyes.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

During 3 ABY,[2] they were approached by an offworlder named Kay Vess looking to purchase a battle droid for personal security. Unbeknownst to the droidsmith, Vess was acting as a middle person for a government official. The droidsmith suggested the DL-2 line and informed Vess it would be 500 credits. After completing the purchase, Vess gave smith the coordinates to deliver the droid.[1]

Behind the scenes

The droidsmith appeared as part of the "Government Business" intel quest in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. If the player has an excellent reputation with the Hutt Cartel when purchasing the droid they will be able to get the droid for free instead of paying the 500 credits.[1]
