The Rebel Alliance used a type of starfighter. Leia Organa flew one on a mission to the planet Bogano[1] by 3 ABY.[2]
A single-pilot starfighter, the craft possessed two mandible-shaped protrusions that extended downward while in flight, and swiveled upward to adhere to the starship's body in landing position.[1]
Behind the scenes
The starfighter appeared in Star Wars canon in the 2021 comic story "The Princess and the Bog, A Twin Tale, Part 1" in the seventh issue of Star Wars Adventures (2020).[1] The design originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity as the ATL Interceptor, designed for Kenner's Return of the Jedi toy line as the "Death Star Defender".[3]
